On a Mission

Hermione was tinkering with the time-turner given to her in her third year. She remembered that Professor Lupin was born around the 1960th circa. The young Gryffindor shrugged her shoulders." Might as well try it, 1979!" she shouted at the invention. Suddenly Professor Lupin came down the stairs his eyes widened with fright when he realized what she was doing. "HERMIONE! NO!" he ran down the stairs to grab her arm and pull her to safety, only to arrive to late. Hermione felt her stomach being tugged by and invisible string. Suddenly she fell into cold water. Darkness swallowed her up.
Lily and Remus were studying on the lawn down by the lake. "I hate potions." grumbled Lily. Remus couldn't argue, potions was his worst subject and it didn't help if the professor called him a know-it-all Gryffindor and a silly little boy. "He has no right to be rude to you Re, why do you put up with him?" He smiled remembering how Lily stuck up for him today. Calling the Professor jealous because Remus knew things that he didn't. "Thank you Lily, what you did was very generous. You are a great friend." He smiled at her. Lily began to blush, God how she loved his smile. "Your welcome, it's just I hate people being mean to you Remus, you're too nice of a person." They continued their work in silence. About ten minutes later Remus heard a splash coming from the lake. He laughed silently to himself, "Probably James or Sirius doing something stupid as usual." he thought. "MOONY!" Sirius ran up to them breathing really hard. "Girl- lake- drowning! Help- save- please!" Remus jumped to his feet and ran to the lake. He jumped in to save the girl. Hoping she would be alright.
