Note: This chapter takes place during episode 15 ("The Guided Ones")
"Dalet! Gatti! Chesta!" Dilandau screamed as his body fought against the restraining straps on the table.
Morgreth and Zaleyth regarded the boy at a distance.
"He is becoming more unstable," hissed Morgreth.
"What is the cause?" asked Zaleyth.
"The fate alteration wasn't completely successful," answered Morgreth, as he prepared an anesthetic for the boy. "Once we reach the homeland, we will perform another fate alteration. We will not tell Lord Folken about this."
The restraining straps flew apart, knocking the syringe out of Morgreth's hand..
"Another fate alteration?" declared a voice. Folken's image appeared between Dilandau and the two sorcerers.
Morgreth and Zaleyth blanched.
"How dare you deceive us like this, Lord Folken!" hissed Morgreth.
Morgreth's arm was caught in Folken's sharp claw. "Don't give me lectures on deception, Morgreth!" The sorcerer was down on his knees in pain. "How long have you been toying with Dilandau's life?"
Dilandau jumped off the table and grabbed the syringe. He toyed with it as he gazed at Zaleyth. "That wasn't very nice of you strapping me on the table like that."
"No. It wasn't," added Folken. Garnet eyes bore through Morgreth. "How many times have you performed a fate alteration on him?"
Morgreth gasped as Folken increased the grip on the sorcerer's arm.
"Fate alteration?" asked Dilandau. "You mean they did something to me?" He looked at the sorcerers and spoke slowly, "You – did – something – to – me – and – didn't – even – bother – to tell me? How dare you!" He gripped the syringe as if it were a dagger.
"Dilandau! Put the syringe down! We will get the answers...one way or the other."
The youth looked at Folken and relaxed his arm. "You know, you simply take the fun out of everything, Folken."
A cold smile played across Folken's lips as he turned to face Morgreth. "Are you going to answer my question, Morgreth, or shall I leave you with Dilandau? I'm sure he would love to hear your explanation."
Morgreth regarded the burning hatred in the boy's eyes.
"We were under orders from Emperor Dornkirk to alter the fate of Celena Schezar."
"What?" screeched Dilandau. "Are you telling me that I'm Allen's sister?"
"Yes," replied Zaleyth.
"No. No! That's not – possible!" replied Dilandau. "You're lying!" His eyes started to change colors.
"No," replied Folken, softly. "He's not. I'm sorry, Dilandau. I had heard rumors that Zaibach was running experiments on children. I had no idea he would be willing to go this far."
Dilandau collapsed. "No...no...it can't be." His body changed before their very eyes. A teary-eyed girl looked back at Folken. "Please tell me this isn't true."
Morgreth screamed as Folken's claws tore through the flesh of his arm. "How could you?" The claws punctured muscle. Morgreth screamed louder. "P- please, Lord Folken. S-stop! I-it can be reversed."
"Pray that it can, Morgeth," Folken retorted, as he loosened his grip.
