Prologue (So exciting! *claps* get ready minna-san!)

She reached out, her fingers moving hesitantly towards the golden necklace resting on the raised stone. Something was drawing her to it and she answered the call although she knew it was forbidden to touch the item. The girl let out a cry of exasperated frustration and gave up her resistance, allowing her bronze fingers to close around the shining metal. It was surprisingly warm to the touch and she held it up to the light to admire the metalwork before fastening it around her neck.

There was a flash of light and the girl found herself hurtling through scenes and pictures very different from the desert land in which she lived. The frames hurtling past slowed suddenly and focussed in on one. A lean man with crimson eyes and tri-colored hair stood before a stone tablet. She saw a golden pyramid around his neck, emblazoned with the eye of Horus. The focus of the vision shifted and she found herself staring at another man, this one with dark brown hair and icy blue eyes filled with anger. She watched as he threw back his head in silent laughter as the world collapsed, crumbled into dust beneath his feet. Then out of the corner of her eye, the girl saw an alternate vision running along side the first. As the man began laughing, a dagger flew through the air, a flash of silver, and bit into his chest stopping the chain of foreseen events. The man stopped moving and looked back across the room from where the knife had come, into the eyes of a familiar Egyptian woman, her hand still raised. As he fell to the ground she ran to his side and caught him before he hit the floor. As his blood mixed with her tears it stained the earth, and from where the two met, the ground flourished and was reborn, the earth reviving from the pain the two humans shared.

The young girl fell back from the vision with a soft scream, feeling her own tears run down her face as she remembered the anguish gracing the features of the Egyptian woman, a living image of loss and sorrow.

It would take her ten years to realize that the woman was herself.

Well? What do you think? Sound interesting? Please if it sucks, flame away. All comments are welcome. Arigato! Ja! ~Ente ^.~
