Trail by Love- Life

Life. Was life really worth what she had to go through? She had never had a life. What she went through was not life, it was hell. All her life, she had been told that she was useless, that she was not worth living.

Family. She never had one. What she had were strangers she lived with. When she was 4, she had been found wandering around, with a pokeball attached to a necklace. The thing about the pokeball was that it was black on the top and sliver on the bottom. She had lost her memories of everything. The people who found her, thinking that the pokeball could contain something, tried to take it away. However, when they touched the pokeball, they felt themselves electrocuted. Thought of as a witch, she was sent to an orphanage as a servant.

Beauty. She was not beautiful. With silver hair and blue eyes, she was thought of as a freak, a witch. Her face was not flawless like other beautiful people. A faint cross scar was on the right of her cheek, with a deeper one covered by her hair. Her body, despite the perfect figure, had several scars. Deep ones, faint ones. Each scar told a story, a story of how she was tortured.

Friends. She had none. Everyone avoided her like she was the plague. All the adults had told their children that she was a witch and that she would put a curse on them if they spoke to her. As a result, everyone her age avoided her. She knew everything that happened. How people talked behind her back, how people spread rumor after rumor about her. She did not care. They could say anything they wanted. It did not matter.

Childhood. She did not have one. Ever since she was young, she had to learn how to fend for herself, how to fight. No, she did not learn proper martial arts. She knew street fighting. She learnt how to be sneaky, how to think up strategies when she was seven. Everyday, she was hit, burnt, kicked and punched. She was soon able to endure the pain, both to her body and her mind. Since she was found, she had been called many names. Names like witch, bitch and whore. punches hurt her physically but words cut her mentally. After she learnt how to fight, she tried to fight back every time but people always ganged up on her. As a result, she learnt to use her senses to their fullest and be alert to everything.

Name. She did not have one. If someone wanted to call her, they just shouted "witch". Yet, no one called her. She lost her name along with her memory. She had no name, no identity and no self. So, she gave herself a name, a name worthy of a dragon, a name that showed courage. Her name was Amber Ryuusaki, also known as Ryu.
