Sequel to 'Ocean'. Zell thinks on someone else. This is now officially
yaoi, folks. If you prefer your Zell straight, turn around now.

He was like a star.
Brilliant, and completely untouchable. Beautiful and far away, so far away. You'd give anything for him, anything at all. You'd like to get to him, but you can't. It's impossible. He's surrounded by space, cold and unfeeling and numb. It surrounds him, changes him, chokes him a bit more each day. You see it and wonder why no one else can. You wonder if he's all ready dead and all you're seeing are the remnants of what once was. Every time you see him you wonder. Is he still a star, still brightly burning light, or is he an echo? Is he alive? Is he dead? If he isn't dead he must be at least dying. He's stuck in between, always. You want to help, but you don't want to push him in the wrong direction. You want to brighten the star, not extinguish it. Save him as he has saved you so many times.
But you don't think he even wants your help. After all, he's a star. He's a bit above all that.

Well, I started this with every intention of it being about Seifer, since Seifer/Zell is my favorite pairing, but Zell wanted Squall today. And the star metaphor? Don't know where that came from either. Just seems very apt.
