Save the Last Dance
By David B

No time, to write this, inspiration struck me, therefore I write this. I own no one except the teacher, and the streaker. Oh, wait; wrong story. And Al and Miles own the rest, and what's his name before them owns Superman. DC comics right? And I am sure they owe money to someone somewhere. Chlana, otherwise known as Femslash.

Prologue: Bad Cliches

"Chloe? You seem sad?" Pete Ross said as he saw Chloe Sullivan standing towards the left wall of the school's dance room, otherwise known as the gymnasium. Chloe looked at him and sighed. "Yeah, who wouldn't be, I'm here all alone, without a date." "Cheer up, Clark's not coming with Lana either, he had something important to do." Chloe mused. "Yeah, sure, and it has nothing to do with Lana, right? What's wrong with him then?" She shook her head at a strange thought, and heard a voice on the loudspeaker. "Last dance of the night in four minutes people, anyone who's here with someone else better get a partner soon. Don't want to miss this one out."

Chloe sighed, looking more depressed until someone's voice raised her spirits. "You look down in the dumps, let me cheer you up." Chloe looked up to see Lana Lang in her as usual pink dress just for this occasion. "Fine, give me some money. I'll be happy then." Chloe said, half humored. Lana shook her head and pulled on Chloe's hand. Chloe followed her hesitantly as the music started up on the last song. Lana took her hand and said. "Let's dance, it's a special dance." "Ah, right, who paid you lots of money to do this?" Lana laughed and pulled her closer, and they danced, danced with each other, and in each other's eyes. They looked perfect, even if they were two women dancing, and as the song spun around them, they looked into each other's eyes and at the crescendo of the dance, they kissed. A long and deep kiss, one that lasted for an eternity in just one moment, and when their kiss, and the music ended, they spun away from each other. "Great dance, Chloe?" Chloe looked at Pete as he smiled, and blushed. "I can't believe that just happened. How many people were running away?" Pete laughed. "I don't think you have to worry about that, Chloe."

Chloe woke up from the dream and grumbled. "Damnit, why did that have to be a dream." Chloe looked around her and saw the time. "Ah, damnit." She said as she got up and ran to her next class, which thankfully, was not very far away from the Torch's office. The teacher looked at her and sighed. "You barely squeaked by, Ms. Sullivan." "Sorry, not enough Caffeine." Pete whispered to her as she sat down. "You having not enough Caffeine, you could be the Caffeine vampire." Chloe smiled and watched as Lana sat down in the seat in front of her, after talking to Clark at his seat. The bell rang, and the teacher, Mr. Glen Hartford looked at the class and said. "Today, we discus various idioms, such as for whom the bell tolls." Everyone groaned.
