Confused? Allow me to explain.
How did Scully wake up from the coma and end up in the field?
Here was what I was aiming for with the coma: The coma allowed her to see the, ah…mental part of life. The mist represented confusion, I suppose you could say…the falling wine glass (inspired by a glass breaking in Buddy Freddy's, I liked the way it tinkled, almost echoed…) represented Mulder and his fall into the abyss, i.e. death/insanity, if the glass broke so would he…I don't want to say what they were abducted for, that will be revealed in this chapter, but Scully woke up because of her saving him, it zapped her out of the dream, was enough of a jolt…Since the aliens were behind Mulder's abduction and they dumped him in the field, logically Scully would have to somehow get there so there was some kind of teleportation involved…Anyway….
Why did the aliens want her memories?
Assume you are an alien. If you wanted to know about humans and what they were like, but didn't want to make your presence known, wouldn't the logical thing be to record and review someone's memories?
Why not just investigate Earth?
Fear of being discovered, experimented on, killed, hunted, hated, feared etc.
So…Mulder was right?
Partially. He didn't think the government was in on it, though.
How was the
government involved?
I'm not telling you. =P What if I do a sequel?
