"Terra, aren't you heading back to the tower?" Robin
questioned his blonde teammate. She halted in mid-step. Terra hadn't
thought about that question. She never pondered about getting caught red
handed. "I'll catch up in a few," she replied, her face now in a relaxed
position.
Robin scratched his head, shrugged, and took off with his team. Terra smirked and continued her evil task. She strolled down the dusty, bumpy road.
Creak!
The rusty metal door of the jailhouse opened and a footstep echoed through the empty corridor. A shadowy figure tiptoed to a dirty, old cell. The chimaera like creature with a tiger head appeared out of the darkness that was cast upon the cell. "Terra!" he exclaimed at her presence.
"Hey Stripefang. Did ya catch any info on them?"
"Well the young female with the blue cloak cried while flying back to the tower. The streetlamps below her became engulfed in black and then poof! no more lit streetlamps."
Terra smirked.
"So, her weakness is her own emotions huh?"
"I guess so."
"Great! I'll have to tell..."
There was a musical beeping sound that came from the inside of her pocket. She immediately reached in and took out her communicator.
"Hello?"
"Have you received any information on the titans?"
"Beast Boy hates milk, especially the 1% fat kind, Starfire has an allergic reaction to chromium, Cyborg hates to be zapped, you know Robin's weakness, and Raven's weakness is feeling any type of emotion."
"Interesting. I'll be expecting you soon."
The screen of the communicator went blank. Terra put it back in her pocket and turned to Stripefang.
"I best be on my way back."
Two salty teardrops fell from Raven's eyes as she packed her clothes. She continued to feel her own heart shrink to the size of a gumball. She kept thinking about how worthless she was and how her chances of winning BB's heart were 0 to 100. Raven was finally finished with her packing and quickly left for the roof. She took one last glance at the city around her and was about to leave.
But before she took off, someone had entered the roof section of the tower.
"Hey Rae, whatcha doin'?" came Beast Boy's cheery tone from out of the dark.
Raven immediately felt the color return to her cheeks. She hesitated for an answer. "I-I-I' m l-l-leaving," she replied, her voice so shaky that the words barely even came out. The color on her cheeks seemed to spread throughout her entire face. Her heart hammered against her own chest, but at the same time, shrunk and squeezed as well.
She tried to fight back those watery tears and soon gave up for they began to pour out of her eyes. Raven fell to her knees, her face buried in her hands. Beast Boy, hearing her sobs, sat down beside her. "What's wrong?" he asked, putting an arm around the back of her neck. Raven's face shot up from her hands and she blushed even more.
"Terra, that's what's wrong."
"And you're running away because of her?"
"Not exactly."
"Then why?"
"When I saw you and her embracing, my emotions went on a rampage and for the first time, I experienced jealousy."
"So, ya love me, don't you?" he asked, a huge grin spreading across his green face. He raised an eyebrow. Raven felt butterflies in her stomach and her heart speed up. A crack whipped through the air as a tree came crashing down from below.
"W-well I..."
"Eh, I can tell ya do," he said, leaning his head toward her and pecked her on the cheek. He got up and disappeared downstairs. She all of the sudden felt that melancholy emotion return as the thought of Terra haunted her. With one single jump, she flew into the night sky and towards the peaceful world of Azarath.
The door of the tower opened and Terra walked in. "Where's Raven?" she asked when she saw everybody except her. "She...left," Beast Boy replied, 3 tears now trickling down his face. "Oh," she said and sat down on the couch.
A/N: In the last chapter I forgot to hand out lighters to everyone who supports Raven and BB. Here are your lighters. Don't let the flames go out or else you no longer have faith in the relationship. Keep the faith!!!
