"So," Beast Boy said to his blonde friend who was, to his surprise, smiling. Why was she grinning at a melancholy time in a melancholy silence? With Raven gone the team would sure be doomed. There was nobody like the dark woman, not a soul in the world could ever replace her. Nobody was there for him to annoy, nobody to heal him when he was in pain, nobody to l...

"What were ya saying BB?"

"Oh, ummmm...where've ya been all this time?"

"Just hanging about, you know, getting to know the city better."

"Oh."

Terra looked at the remainder of the team before getting some rope and duct tape. It was time.

The cool night air whipped and crashed against her pale face as it ran through her violet hair. Tears streamed past her as she flew at a fast pace towards her home planet. "I knew they'd never accept me," she whispered to her sad self. Then, as if somebody came up and smacked her in the face, she sensed that her comrades were in danger. And not just any old danger, but one that was life threatening.

She instantly decided to turn back and check to see if she was correct. The silky blue cloak in which she wore swished in the wind as she headed back to the tower.

It was dark inside the tower. She felt along the walls for a light switch. After five minutes of searching, her right hand finally came across one and she flicked it on. The light bulbs bathed Raven and the entire living room in a blinding goldenrod. The silence that first reached her ears was unbroken.

There was not a single soul within the huge room. She studied every room very closely, especially Beast Boy's filthy one. Clothes were scattered everywhere and torn posters of Avril Lavigne were stapled to the walls. Her eyes ran across a photo of the team the first day they met. Beast Boy and herself stood together.

His excited face filled the whole picture with joy and warmth while hers balanced it with some darkness. The dark teen picked it up and examined it. Memories of that day flashed before her.

"Hey Raven, wanna join the group for a photo?" Beast Boy asked his new teammate, hopping on both feet. She glared straight at him, arms crossing her chest.

"No."

"Oh c'mon Rae."

She jumped slightly at the nickname she received.

"I said no."

"It's not called a group picture for nothing."

She rolled her eyes. The only way to get this doofus off her back was to do it.

"Fine, I'll do it."

His face lit up with excitement and he pulled her over to the camera. She showed no sign of a smile, but still had her arms crossed. Beast Boy winked at her, gave a peace sign, and grinned.

She was drawn back by a series of beeps. Raven drew out her communicator. Slade had called her. She glared menacingly into the device. "Where are they?" she spat, teeth clenched together.

"Why, they are here obeying my commands."

"Raven!" came the familiar voice of Beast Boy, "Help us!" "Yes, please do the task of helping," Starfire's voice rang out. Slade turned to them. "Get back to work you fools!" he shouted. The machine above them sprayed milk and chromium. There was a sudden explosion as Starfire sneezed. Beast Boy ran about shouting, "It burns, it burns!" Raven glared even harder.

"All part of my plan."

"What? Destroy the Teen Titans and then conquer the world!?"

"You're smarter than you look. But if you were wiser, you'd have murdered Terra by now."

"I knew she was working for you!"

Slade chuckled.

"Where are you hiding?"

"That is a question you'll have to answer yourself."

The screen went blank. Raven flew out of the tower to search for the villain's hideout.
