Special Agent Anthony Dinozzo concentrated intently on his task. He was so close. Just a little bit longer and –
"Dinozzo! Quit clowning around and get me those files!" The sharp voice cut through his concentration and the pencil fell from his nose, clattering on his desk. He pretended not to see Kate's smirk as he turned back to his computer to work. He tried desperately to focus on his mission, but Gibbs' words had brought back fond memories of elementary school.
"Dibozo, the office clown," he muttered under his breath with a small smile.
"What was that?" Kate asked, making sure Gibbs was out of earshot.
"Oh, nothing. Just my nickname from school. Dibozo, the class clown."
Kate laughed. "Of course. How could you be anything else? You know, I could even picture you as a real clown. Red hair, painted smile, big shoes."
"Well, you know they say about big feet," Tony grinned, unable to resist. Kate smiled despite herself.
