Short Luke/Seth drabble. Non slash. I don't own anything, don't sue please.
Denial isn't just a river in Egypt
Luke put down the joystick after beating Seth's ass in that Ninja Warrior game until the words GAME OVER showed on the screen, in big red, bloody letters. Seth dropped his head and Luke just sighed.
"Dude. Why don't you suck at this?" Seth asked, not really wanting an answer.
"Comes naturally, I guess. Hey, Seth?" Luke got Seth's attention and looked slightly worried. "Do you ever wonder, like...why we're such losers?"
"What?" Seth didn't know whether to laugh, cry or possibly run away and get Ryan from the pool house. Though, he was probably too busy macking it up with Marissa to possibly care what Luke had to say. "What? I am not a loser. Hey! I am very happening with the ladies, I'll have you know. Let me remind of you two names that rhymes with Janna and Flummer."
Luke glared at him. "They both dumped you, bro. It's okay. I won't, like, laugh. I know we're losers."
"Hey!" Seth defended himself with a point from his index finger. "I'm not a loser. Stop using that word."
"You know what they say, man."
"No, what do they say, Luke?"
"Denial is not just a river in Egypt."
Seth sighed loudly. "I'm surprised you even know what Egypt is. Let alone a river." He muttered.
"Hey, I just wanted to make sure you knew." Luke smirked and re-started the 25th level of the game.
"How does your brain *work*?"
They fell back in silence, playing some more on the game until once again, Luke kicked Seth's ass. Seth leaned back in the sofa and with a small pout, and then looked innocently at him.
"My brain must be frying up because what you just said made sense. Oh God."
"It's okay, man." Luke responded, seriously. "Just let it all out."
