Disclaimer: I don't own any of the Harry Potter universe.
Authors notes: ok so I've been having some problems getting the next chapter of the power of the heirs out. I've been really busy and whenever I make time to write it up I get stuck. This has been kind of swirling around in my head for a few weeks so I thought I would write it and see what you guys thought. Let me know.
Summery: Sirius has gone through the veil and been gone for two years. It's the end of Harry's seventh year and Voldemort is still rampaging through England. Harry has once again found his way into the department of mysteries and is attempting to get Sirius out of the veil. But will Sirius want to leave?
Harry approached the stone archway in the center of the barren room. He had made sure that he would be alone for this journey, no one knew he was even out of bed. The sound of his feet hitting the cold stone floor echoed through the empty room as he approached the swaying veil. He had been waiting so long for this. He was finally going to save Sirius. The research had been a nightmare and it had taken him nearly two years to find out just what the veil was. Harry's hand reached out and ran over the eroded stone, it was coarse and cold. He was going to do this. He was a Gryfindor.
Harry very slowly placed his right hand through the black fabric covering the archway, then his left. He felt a sense of extreme relaxation unlike any he had every felt before. This was amazing, he felt so free. There was no Voldemort here, no one trying to kill him. This was just empty and peaceful, a lot like an empty field on a spring day. Harry quickly focused on his task, he wanted to find Sirius and bring him home to those who loved him. As he thought this a door appeared in front of his very skinny form. The door was very old and had many cracks running down it, but Harry reached for the handle anyways.
As the door opened Harry found himself in a nicely decorated room, it was fairly obvious that a Slytherin had decorated it because it was in black and green. The furniture was made of a very dark wood with green and black upholstery, and the walls were an emerald green color. Surprisingly Harry didn't dislike the decorating at all. It seemed to suit the room well, especially with the huge four post bed situated in the far end of the room. Harry crossed the room and found that the bed was occupied by a very beautiful sleeping woman with black hair and pale skin. She had a tattoo on her left shoulder of a lion, and the black lines seemed to be moving around her shoulder in boredom. She looked so peaceful that he did not have the heart to wake her, Harry had just started to wonder why he had been brought to this room in particular when a man came to stand beside him.
Sirius black looked just as he had when Harry had last seen him, right down to the stubble on his face from lack of shaving. What confused Harry was that Sirius did not seem to be even slightly surprised he was there, in fact he had not shown one emotion in the several minutes Harry had been starring at him. Sirius' attention was focused on one thing, the woman in the bed. Well, girl was more like it seeing how she only looked to be about twenty. Sirius then turned to Harry and spoke to him for the first time in two years.
"She's beautiful isn't she?"
"Yes. Who is she?"
"The woman I lost many years ago. She was killed by her father, a death eater, for agreeing to marry me." Harry didn't really know how to respond to that, in all truthfulness he had never even heard of this woman. He seriously doubted that even Remus knew of her prior existence. "I'm not going back with you Harry."
