Morning

I woke up this morning with a happy feeling and I share it here in this book that I got for Christmas yesterday from my father. Today my aunt and uncle are coming round and the lake is frozen and so we get to go skating. My friends Sophie and Jessica will come in to wake me soon not knowing that I'm awake. I hope Uncle Gareth is nicer to me this visit than he was last time. Last time he visited her commented on how unclean and unkempt the house was and was always commenting about how slake my lessons were. My mum ended up crying Oh Well I can hear Sophie and Jess ,as we call her, coming up the stairs.

Arfternoon

I hate my uncle. He is so mean. I went out hawking with my younger brother, Thomas. My hawk, Silverwing returned with a hare and dropped it at Thomas's feet. The blood runied the shoes and splattered on the breeces uncle had sent him. I said our uncle would understand and that it was not his fault. My uncle arrived just as we returned and shouted at poor Thomas. What a nice greeting!

Later

I've just returned from my music lesson. I play the flute. My music teacher, Gary Raymort says i have a good talent. I think it is a useless talent. I don't want to play music i want to ride and hunt and go hawking. But my mother wished me to play something musical. My mother is very kind and pretty and lots of people say i take after her. She has wavy blonde hair and pale fair skin. Her eyes are like the sea on one of those mornings in winter where you can't see your breath but her eyes are not cold. They have a sparkle of warmth and mischef in them. As you can tell they make me have english lessons too.

Evening Dinner was horrible. I changed in to a purple satin dress for dinner but when i got down to the great hall my Uncle demerned i changed in to something more sutible. He did this three times! In the end i lost my temper and told him that i like this dress and would not change again. I'm in big trouble Uncle will have it in for me
