He was in a dark chamber. What had he done this time? He was always messing up. Riku looked around the chamber that he was in. He managed to see the outline of a body in a corner. He walked over carefully. When he saw the face, he knelt down by the body's side.
"What have I done?" Riku asked himself. "I-I'm-I'm-" "You lost." Riku turned around. A light saver was pointed at him. It zapped him right where it hurt. His heart.
Sora stepped out of the portal. The first thing he noticed was the bright sun.
"Hey!"
Sora turned around, ready to fight.
"Cool. A human."
It was just a lion cub.
"Sam. Come here. What did- Oh. We have company."
A female lion walked out of a cave. "Would you happen to be one of them?" she asked.
"One of what?"
"The Heartless."
"No."
"But you're human."
"I know. There are a lot of nice humans. But would you mind telling me where I am?" Sora said.
He was greatly surprised that she would ask him if he was a Heartless.
"You're in the Pride Land."
"Nalla!"
A male lion walked out of the shadows.
"Oh Simba. Sammy found a human," the female lion said.
"Nalla. What did I tell you about humans?" the male lion said.
"You said your name is Simba?" Sora asked.
The male lion nodded.
"I'm Sora. Remember?"
"Oh yes. Nalla invite him in. I have to go take care of some business," Simba said.
He walked away. Nalla invited Sora inside their cave.
"I don't think I got your name."
"Sora."
"Mom. Can I go play?" Sammy asked.
"Sure. But be back for dinner," Nalla said.
Inside the cave, Sora sat on the ground.
"So. What takes you to this place? If you don't mind telling me," Nalla said.
"My friends. I can't find them. One I feel is too late for. Riku might be able to help me,"
exclaimed Sora.
"Nalla! Is Sammy here?" Simba called.
"No he went out to play."
"Great!" Simba yelled.
He ran to the end of the cliff (Pride Rock) and roared as loud as he possibly could. Sora ran up to Simba.
"Is he in danger?" he asked.
"Yes."
Sora started to run down the rock.
"Don't go!"
Sora looked at Simba.
"It's my fault. I'll fix it."
Sora jumped the rest of the way. He ran. He didn't know where he was going. He just ran on. He came to a valley. Sora looked to the other side. The Outcast Land. Sora sighed. He turned and walked away. Then he stopped abruptly, turned and ran. When he got to the edge he jumped off. He was about a yard from the Outcast Land. Then he started to fall. he looked down to where he was falling. Darkness covered the bottom of the valley. He started to fall into darkness. Then he heard a voice.
It said, "Are you giving up already Sora?"
Sora glided upwards. He planted his feet on solid ground. The Outcast Land. He let out the breath he had been holding. He then started to walk. As Sora was entering a forest, he heard a roar. Sora knew that roar. It was Simba's. Simba was in danger. Sora ran as fast as he possibly could. He came to a clearing. In the clearing, Simba was surrounded by Darkballs and Wyvern. Sora took out his Keyblade and started to attack the enemies.
"Simba! Run! I'll hold them off!" Sora yelled.
He saw Simba run deeper into the forest to find his son. Sora defeated all of the enemies. When he was done, he heard a voice behind him say,
"What are you doing?"
Sora turned around.
"Protecting what friends I have left." "
Okay. Then try this."
A Behemoth, a Cerberus, an Opposite Armor, and a Rock Titan appeared.
"How am I going to beat all of them?" Sora asked himself.
"Not alone."
Sora caught a glimpse of Cloud.
"Let's go Sora."
They fought until every single enemy was gone. Then they ran after Simba. When they caught up to him, he was hysterical.
"What's wrong"
"He's gone."
"Cloud!"
Cloud turned around. Aerith was standing there.
"Dumbo's mother is missing. Come with me," she said.
"It's all my fault."
Everyone turned and looked at Sora. He was staring into space.
"Kairi. Remember when I said that I gave up. I know now that it's destiny that I join you."
Cloud, Simba, and Aerith leaned close to hear what Sora was saying.
"Yes. I'm positive. There is no other choice."
Sora held out his hand. Everyone stared in amazement as they saw Kairi stand next to Sora. Sora's body was falling to darkness. Eternal darkness. Sora and Kairi stood hand in hand.
"Don't give up Sora. It's too early in the game." Kairi let go of Sora's hand. "Our heart's will always be together. Now bring our lives together." Kairi disappeared.
Sora turned to Cloud.
"I lost it. I broke the promise. I told you I would always keep the light. I lied. I lost it."
They could see every bone in Sora's face. He was weakening.
"No. you haven't lost your light." Cloud put his arm around Aerith. "I couldn't see my light because there were trials in the way trying to get me to lose it. Fight through the trials. Keep strong. If I can, you can. We'll always be there for you."
"If I find the light will I lose it again? I had it in my grasp. Can I ever get it back?" Sora said.
He looked to the sky.
"Yes Sora. You will. Just believe." A star went out.
"Sora. I found this," Simba said.
Sora turned around. Simba gave Sora another star key chain.
"I'll find Sammy for you."
Sora lifted up his Keyblade and made another portal.
"Come on Cloud." Sora walked through.
"Go back to Yuffie. I promise I'll come back." Cloud walked through the portal. It closed before he could get one final look at Aerith.
