*Okay. I know many people are going to say, this story has been written a million times, but don't judge just yet! Yes, Rory meets Jess again in New York City. However, in season 2, when Jess left after the car accident, Rory went to go and visit him, but he never came back. So nothing with Rory and Jess happened in season 3, but otherwise, everything else did.*

(Everything else happened in Season 3, except for the parts with Rory and Jess. Rory went to the party by herself and Dean told her he was engaged and everything else that really happened. But the kiss at Sookie's wedding never happened. Basically everything else happened, including season 4.)

Recap: Ch1. Rory gets the news that she will be interviewing Jess Mariano.

Ch2. Rory meets Jess and they talk over lunch. Jess asks if they could hang out sometime and Rory agrees to.

Ch3. Rory and Jess go on a real date and Rory and Lorelai get in a fight over Lorelai's disapproval of Rory dating Jess.

Enjoy!

Rory's night went by slow. She got into bed around nine and tossed and turned all night. So much was going on in her mind, she didn't know what to think over first.

The whole fight with her mother was absolutely ridiculous. They were too close for this! They were best friends for god's sake! Best friends first, mother and daughter second. Rory didn't understand what the big deal was about her dating Jess.  He never hurt her. Although the town considered the car accident harmful to her, but she knew it was just an accident. She always waned to be with Jess. Deep, very deep inside of her those six years ago, she wanted him. That day in Washington Square Park was probably the best day of her life.

Rory woke up the next morning and showered. She put on a pot of coffee and sat down on her couch. Flipping through the channels, she should have known nothing would have been on on a Sunday morning. After a couple of more hours of TV. Rory's stomach started howling.

"I am so hungry." She whined to her empty apartment. She got up and grabbed her keys and bag and went to the door. She opened it quickly but then stopped short when she saw someone standing there. It was Jess!

"Jess? Hi. What are you doing here?" Rory looked at him, wearing a confused face.

"Well, I felt bad for leaving so early last night so I figured I'd make it up to you with a pizza." Jess explained and then held up the pizza box he was holding.

Pizza!  "Ah, you didn't have to do that. But come one in." Rory smiled and held her door open for Jess to enter. Jess slowly walks into the apartment and notices Rory putting her bag and keys on the counter.

"Oh, sorry. Were you leaving? Because I could just go." Jess panicked.

"No, no! I was just going to get some food. But you beat me to it." Rory smiled comfortingly.

Jess nodded with a smile and looked at her questioningly. "So…shall we eat?"

"We could." Rory stood there smiling, but too nervous to move. She couldn't believe Jess was in her apartment, just the two of them! She felt 17 again.

"Um…yeah. So is the living room off limits?" Jess smiled sarcastically.

"Why would the living room be off limits?" Rory looked at him.

"I meant, like yesterday, when I said that your apartment was very white so I didn't know if we were allowed…."

Rory smiled and playfully swatted him. "Jess!"

"I'm sorry. I was kidding!" Jess laughed.

"Come on." Rory shook her head, still smiling as she led him into the living room. Jess followed.

"Here, sit here and put the box here." Rory said, motioning to the coffee table and the floor.

"Ok." Jess did as instructed. He opened the box of pizza and took a plate that Rory handed him. Rory sat down next to him and took a slice of pizza.

They began eating while Rory flipped through the channels on the TV. "There is absolutely nothing on."

Jess laughed. "Here, let me see." Jess took the remote and went through a couple of channels.

"Hey! Stop!"

"Huh?" Jess froze.

"Go back one." Rory said quickly. Jess did what he was told.

"One more." Rory said and watched Jess do it.

"And one more……..Ah! I love this movie!"  Rory screeched.

"Footloose." Jess nodded. "That's very you."

"Thank you. Ever seen it?"

"Nope."

"Well, now's a good time." Rory smiled. "Yup." Jess smiled back.

They both sat back and watched the movie together. It seemed to go by quickly for the both of them and before they knew it, it was 7:30 on a Sunday night. Rory's head was resting on Jess's lap and Jess laid his head back, resting on the head of the couch. They were both dozing off when the phone rang and scared Rory. She jumped for the phone that was lying on the coffee table.

"H-hello?"

"Rory?"

"Mom! I am so sorry about yesterday! I really am!" Rory jumped out of the trance she was in.

"No, Rory. I should be the one apologizing. I had no right to tell you that you shouldn't date Jess. It's your life. It's just that some days I forget that you are 23 and not 17 anymore."

"I know mom. It's ok. I really-" Rory stopped herself when she realized Jess was sitting there looking at her talking on the phone. She couldn't talk about him to her mom.

"Like him?" Lorelai finished for her. Rory should have known her mother could finish her sentence for her.

"Yeah." Rory breathed out and smiled.

"Yeah. So what are you doing?"

"What am I doing?" Rory jumped. She looked so scared that Jess looked at her with concern. "Rory?"

"Shhh!" Rory said quietly to him but Lorelai heard. Crap! Lorelai wouldn't have expected her to bounce back so quickly. They just had their first fight in a long time and she was still socializing instead of pondering the reasons of why they were fighting in the first place.

"You ok?" Jess asked again.

"Shhh!!!"

"Rory?" Lorelai asked, hearing what was going on in the background.

"I'm not doing anything, what about you mom?" Rory said loudly and raised her eyebrows at Jess in warning.

"Oh." Jess smiled and leaned back again.

"Um, ok. Then I guess I'll talk to you tomorrow." Lorelai said, sounding a bit deflated.

"Great mom." Rory smiled.

"Oh, and me sure to tell Jess hey for me." Lorelai chuckled.

Dammit. Caught!  "I will." Rory said slowly and with a smile that Lorelai could sense. "Bye." Rory hung up.

"She knew I was here, didn't she?" Jess smiled.

"Yep."

"Huh. Your mother abilities." Jess shook his head.

"Unbelievable." Rory laughed. She laid back down on Jess's lap, figuring he wouldn't mind, and he didn't.

"How was life after I left? Like what did you do?" Rory asked him.

"After you left?"

"Meaning like when I left when I came to visit you." Rory looked up at him.

"Hmm….I think I ate, maybe showered, oh yeah and I read some." Jess mocked.

"Jess…." Rory smiled.

"Oh, and I may have even picked up a couple of hookers while I was in the right place…" Jess laughed.

"Jess!" Rory laughed and playfully swatted him. "No, come on really, what did you do."

"I don't know Rory. I think I just went on with life. You never knew my past here, except the bad parts, but I didn't hang out with the same people. I was pretty much independent. But you…."

"I dated Dean for a bit more until we realized we weren't very good together. He blamed the damages on you, even after a year later." Rory smiled.

"Sounds about right." Jess nodded.

"Oh, yeah? No girlfriends?' Rory teased.

"There was one who said I talked about you so much I bored her." Jess said. Rory raised her eyebrows and Jess jumped. He didn't realize what he just said! Shit! Jess blushed.

"Oh…so you always had a little thing for me. No need to blush, I always knew it…." Rory smiled amusingly.

"What about you?!"

"What about me?" Rory laughed.

"You know you always had a thing for me…come on, everyone knew it." Jess mocked.

"What? No one could tell that I liked you…" Rory trailed off.

"Ha! SO you did!" Jess jumped.

"Ok, can we be friendly again." Rory asked, moving her body up to his level.

"Sure. It's getting ugly." Jess agreed.

"So……what now?" Rory asked.

"Why did you never leave Dean if you liked me?" Jess asked quickly. He thought that probably wasn't the smartest thing to have said at the moment but he did it anyway. Rory just stared at him, letting the feelings from six years ago flood out of her.

I have been asking myself that question for the last six years. Rory didn't know what to do. So she did the first thing that came to mind. She kissed him.

Jess was completely surprised. He didn't expect her to kiss him. Action was the last thing he expected that night. Jess returned that kiss eagerly and was shocked to feel Rory heating the kiss up. Holy Shit!

Jess heated things up more when he pulled her onto him and she went down with him. But he was stunned when Rory pulled him back up and brought them up to a standing position, still not letting their lips apart. Jess continued kissing her and letting their tongues wrestle.

Rory didn't want to let go. It felt so good to kiss someone and especially when that someone was Jess. So Rory and Jess traveled across the room where Rory brought them into her bedroom and closed the door…..

The next morning, Jess woke up to the bright sunshine coming through Rory's vertical blinds. He looked at her alarm clock that said 7:54. He looked over at a sleeping angelic Rory.

Rory had her arms wrapped around Jess's bare chest and he had hi one arm on her back. He head was laying on his shoulder. Jess leaned down and gently kissed Rory. Rory slowly opened her eyes and looked up at Jess.

"Hey you." Jess smiled.

"Hey…" Rory stretched.

"How did you like the rest of the evening?" Jess smirked. I loved it!

"Huh? What?!" Rory jumped up. She had forgotten where she was, what she did, what she was doing! She was lying in her bed naked next to a naked Jess!

"Rory, what's wrong?" Jess was confused. She led him into the room and now she's freaking out like it was all a mistake.

"I can't believe we did this! I mean, we haven't seen each other in six years, this is our second or third date and we had sex! I have never had sex!" Rory screamed.

"Rory, you have to calm down!" Jess soothed her.

"I can't calm down, I can't believe I did this." Rory rubbed her temples.

"Well freaking out isn't going to undo it. I thought you wanted this, you led me into the bedroom!"

"I did, I do…….I just didn't think it was going to happen so fast. I wanted to really know the person."

"You don't know me?"

"Well, in a way like we were dating and good friends."

"We are dating and we are good friends. " Jess sighed. "Look Rory, I don't regret one minute of last night because it was amazing and partially because I'm a guy. So if you want me to go, I'll go and call you back in six years. Whatever it takes."

Rory smiled. "I don't think I regret it either." She said slowly.

"Ok then. So will you chill out. You're making me self conscious." He smiled.

"I know and I'm sorry. I'm just not use to dating someone and sleeping with them on a third date. I'm not like that. I've never actually dated to actually do it so there goes everything I just said." Rory rambled.

"So you aren't mad?"

"No."

"Sad?"

"No."

"Scared?"

"No." Rory smiled.

"Anxious?"

Rory swatted Jess. "Jess!"

"I was kidding, you can't blame a guy for trying." Jess laughed.

"Sure. Sure."

"Do you have work today?" Jess asked, pulling her back down.

"Yeah, yeah…"Rory sighed. "You?"

"Yep. 9:00."

"9:30! Ha ha ha ha!" Rory laughed.

"Mean." Jess shook his head.

"Well, I usually leave at 9 so you're good."

"Thanks." Jess smiled. Rory leaned down and kissed him passionately before they both got up and went to work for the day.

Rory went to sleep that night and had that same dream. What was this meaning? Why did she have this reoccurring dream when Jess and Rory were together and happy. All she could do was wait for awhile, until she could find out the real reason………..

*Ok! I'm sorry if it sucked! I tried! Please review!!*
