Part 5
Goku spent the night in the hospital and the next day there was no way they could keep him in bed. He was completely impossible, by midday if some one walked by with a food cart he would jump them, in hopes it would annoy them into letting him go home. His plan worked and he was sent home.
It was a week later and goku was gradually getting used to the presence of tora and phascha. Unfortunately every time bardock tried to get close gokus instincts would kick in full notch and he would either growl or back off. Goku would often try to pick a fight with bardock and was impossible to be around when father and son were together.
Summer storms were approaching as July came to an end. Goku was forced to spend time helping bardock tora and phascha build the extension to their house. The day was hot and humid, the weatherman predict a huge thunderstorm approaching which put the pressure to finish.
Chichi called from the kitchen window "dinners ready come an get it!"
Tora looked up from the final touches on the roof he looked down at phascha whom as cleaning the windows, then he looked at bardock and goku. Bardock was busy sanding down and parts of cement that needed sanding.
Goku looked towards the kitchen then licked his lips and walked over to the table set up outside. He looked over the food set on it licking his lips again. Tora, phascha, and bardock walked over as chichi set down a large bowl of rice.
Goku sat down next to chichi and smiled up at her. Bardock began to take a seat next to goku but goku gave him a look and kicked the chair away. Chichi smacked goku up side the head "goku go get that...cant you be the least bit respectful I mean seriously you remind me of vegeta"
Goku growled lightly, then got up and got the chair. Dinner was quiet.
"Sooo are you guys finished" chichi asked phascha
Phascha nodded her head "and its just on time to"
Phascha and chichi were becoming close friends. Tora was silent next to bardock and bardock sat a distance from goku.
Later that night the wind hollowed at the house, while the group of saijens painted the inside of the room. Then brought in carpet from the garage safe from the rain. By the time they were down goku was ready for bed.
The next morning it didn't rain much allowing the trees to air, out creating a thick moist fog. Bardock was up early he sat at the counter looking out the window when chichi came down in her robe.
"Bardock your up early is something troubling you" she asked making coffee.
"No, not really...just couldn't sleep"
Chichi looked up "okay"
There was an eiry silence between them finally bardock spoke up. "How's kakarot doing"?
"Well he's been acting strange when ever he's around you but other than that he's been pretty much goku"
Bardock nodded "he doesn't mean it...he's just very territorial"
Chichi looked up again and look at bardock "terri-territorial?" she asked
Bardock looked at her from the window "yes he gets it from his mother"
Chichi looked down at the coffee pot "goku territorial? Im sorry but goku isn't territorial...he may not like being around a large number of people much but he doesn't mind it..."
"That's not the point" bardock cut in. "that's not what I meant when I said territorial...at a certain age a saijen child leaves the family to go on its own, he's territorial because I pose a threat to you and he doesn't like that"
Chichi stared at bardock. He had her full attention.
"Ughh...you couldn't understand even if I told it to you like an adult would to a child"
Chichi sat down across the counter "try I would like to know more"
Bardock looked up from the counter "its complicated, he's not aware that his instincts are in command half the time...being territorial is another way a saijen can show its love for a m...wife. He's just saying 'I love you' with out saying it"
"And what of you how do you know about this"
"Because I went to school"
Chichi laughed lightly "and I suppose that means you can control these instincts?"
Bardock looked out the window "to the best of my abilities there are some things I cant handle very well I'll admit it"
Chichi looked at bardock "like?"
"Certain things...I don't like talking about"
Chichi shook her head "you speak of these things as if you people were animals"
Bardock looked at chichi interested "well...what did you think we were birds...look at yourself and tell me that you're not animal too"
A/N: I don't know, I don't really like this chapter much r&r tell me what you think...about the story not my grammar problems. Don't complain unless you can do better.
