Resuscitating a dead horse.

A/N: Gen's comment on the feedback discussion on the Jagnik Fanfic board triggered this fic. It
reminded me of something that happened to my ex-mother in law when she was a prison warden.
This is supposed to be humorous.
Feedback: Sure flames keep me warm.

JAG Conference Room
0856 hours
Commander Harmon Rabb Jr. really hated staff meetings. Actually that wasn't true, he didn't
mind going to staff meetings he just hated running them.
Each of the senior attorneys at JAG had a group of junior attorneys and legal assistant that they
supervised. As part of his penance for leaving JAG last year Harm's group was comprised of the
people none of the other senior attorneys wanted to deal with.
The last three weekly meetings all ended with the legal assistant arguing over the same subject.
Harm kept telling them they were beating a dead horse, but they kept coming back to the topic.
Harm was going to start the meeting with something he hoped would make his point.
"Good morning everyone. This is the first item on our agenda." Harm started passing out a one-page handout. A few scattered chuckles are heard throughout the conference room.
"How to resuscitate a dead horse. Step one; make sure the horse is lying flat on his back. Step
two; check for a pulse and breathing. Step three; blow 3 quick breaths into the snout of the
animal. Step four . . ."
"Okay, sir we get it." This from a junior legal assistant.
"Get what?" Harm asked. His voice like ice.
"You don't want to hear about research procedures anymore. We need to move on, sir."
"Correct. I'm going to hold on to this just in case. However, if I need to use it again it will affect
the fit reps of those responsible. Is that understood?" Harm asked.
Murmurs of yes and some head nodding are seen throughout the room.
"I can't hear you. Is that understood?" Harm tells them.
"Yes, sir." The entire room responds in a tone to make a drill sergeant proud.
Now we're making some progress Harm thinks as he sits down to continue the meeting.
