A/N: I don't own any of this except Vixen and the situation.

"I don't know what you did to make them mad this time, Beach, but you sure did a good job of it," Lifeline told the Ranger as he prepared to stitch the long, deep cut in his teammate's leg. Said teammate was sitting on the table wrapped in nothing below the waist but a towel.

"I told that greenshirt not to play with those knives and when he dropped it, it cut my leg."

The senior medic started cleaning the wound and was preparing to stitch it when he heard the youngest medic of the team, Vixen, and the team's nurse, Bree, walking down the hall. He turned to ask one of the girls something when they walked past.

"Good banana," said Vixen, and Bree agreed.

"Although," she said, "I have seen bigger and better."

"True," admitted the youngster and both females laughed.

Beach Head blushed in embarrassment, hoping that the two had not seen him in only a towel. He was hoping against hope that they weren't talking about him.

Lifeline's mind was on the night before, when he had taken Vixen out to dinner and he was still going through the details.

He started chuckling as he realized what they must have meant. Before he could stop it, he had thrown back his head and was full out laughing.

"What's so funny?" demanded Beach Head, as he stared at the medic, wondering if he'd finally lost what mind he had.

"Oh, nothing," wheezed Lifeline in between laughs. He finished tending to the wound, and released the ranger.

"Good banana?" he thought, cleaning up the area where he was working.

Later that night, he had stopped by Vixen's quarters to drop off something that she had asked him to look into for her. He was hugging her goodnight when something occurred to him.

"Earlier, when you and Bree were talking, what did you mean by 'good banana'?"

"Jeez, that's what we'd had for lunch, genius."

Lifeline flushed and burst out laughing at what he had thought they had meant.

Vixen took one look at him and told him, "Get your mind out of the gutter, man..." He hugged her tighter as he laughed. "And into the sewer with the rest of ours," she finished, cracking up along with him.

He laughed all the way across the base to his quarters.
