AN: I don't own DBZ. K? ^^ Here's the second chapter, hope you like it!
Goten knocked on the front door of his own house when he found the door
locked. It almost immediately swung open with a terrified Chi-chi looking up at her son.
"Goten! Where have you been?! You've had me worried sick!" Chichi exclaimed
yanking Goten in, who almost dropped the fish he had been carrying.
"I was getting dinner..." Goten answered, a puzzled look on his face. Chichi
wasn't listening.
"At least Gohan turned out alright... but what will become of my other son?
Already becoming a complete delinquent..." Chichi lamented, shaking her head in angst.
Goten rolled his eyes and threw the fish up on the table.
"Whoa! That sure sounds big!" a voice called from upstairs. Goten looked up as
his dad came down the stairs. Goku smiled. "I was right! What do you think, Chichi?"
"Hmm?"
"The fish that Goten caught for dinner! Doesn't it look great?"
"Yes... but would you believe what your son did? He went out, neglecting his
studies, to do something!"
"Yeah, I had him got and catch us dinner..." Goku replied. Chichi blinked
realizing she had seriously goofed, but remained silent to cover her own hasty assumption.
"So how did the dragonball search go today, dad?" Goten asked hopefully. Goku
shook his head.
"Your brother and I still can't find them... I'm starting to wonder where they could
be. Even without the dragon radar we should be able to sense their power, but none of us
can. It's almost like they're not even on Earth." Goku replied, a thoughtful expression on
his face. Goten just sat back in his chair thinking about it until his cell phone rang. Goten
fumbled the phone in his hands until he finally got the antannae up and turned it on.
"Hello? Oh, hi Paris. There's a dance next week in South City Park? Sure, I can
co--"
"What? Have you finished your studies yet, Goten? See, Goku? There he goes
again, off with some girl to a dance instead of working on what he really needs to be
concentrating on. Look at the influence you have on our children!"
"No! Paris, I'm sorry, that's my mom! Wh-What? I'm sorry, you're breakin--
NO!!! Don't hang up, Paris! I'm sorr--" Goten slammed his head on the table and turned
the cell phone off.
"Chichi... I'm sure Goten has done enough studying today. He deserves a break.
Come on..." Goku countered for his son. Chichi sighed and waved a hand.
"Fine. I give up, do what you want Goten. If you want to become a delinquent
and a lowlife of society, be my guest." Chichi said and walked off into the next room.
Goten sighed and leaned his head back in the chair, closing his eyes to refocus his
thoughts.
