CHAPTER 2: TWIST OF FATE
"It's raining."
Ginji said with a hint of excitement as he felt the first drops on his cheek. Nothing like a little water to heighten his electrifying power, especially with Ryuudou, the Undead, as an opponent.
"The rain can't pour at a better time!"
He thought to himself, not really caring about the unusual-ness in the situation. It was, afterall, the middle of summer. But coincidences DO happen, it's just that this time, rainfall didn't happen by chance. It was no coincidence indeed.
Ginji would have taken a nasty fall when Ryouma "unattached" the piece of land he was standing on from the rest of the cliff. Yes, Ginji would have, had it not been for those reflexes he has honed through the years. However, the landing was the least of his worries now. The Undead has just made Ginji's death his business.
He threw a couple of bolts at the opponent who seemed to absorb it all. The rain certainly seemed to give him a lift, but not enough to elevate him above the situation. After enough exchange of hefty blows, well, enough for Ginji to tire himself out, the blonde decided on a method Ban-chan would, by all means, not approve of. He was caught by the neck, and was left with no choice so with all the electricity he could muster and more, he started the electrocution.
Deep brown eyes watched as the current surged through the two bodies, out of one, into the other. Slowly, the taller man fell. Surprisingly, all that electricity didn't fry him. Nevertheless, he was defeated. And the blonde boy stood weakly over the unconscious body, his eyes drooped out of exhaustion. Voices were suddenly heard from a distance, getting louder and louder by the moment. Ginji's lips curved to a smile, and the others arrived.
Everything passed in front of the girl's deep brown eyes as she perched on a cypress branch. The cold wind carressed through her short dark hair. As she held her thin white kimono close, three words escaped her lips, breaking her long silence.
"I found you..."
