Finding Friends:
A Continuation of Finding Nemo
Chapter #1: Now What!?
Bloat, Bubbles, Gurgle, Deb, Peach, Gill, & Jacques (AKA: the tank gang) found themselves floating in the harbor. Gill's plan had worked! Except for the fact that now, they were all stuck in plastic bags, floating in the harbor. Bloat was stumped because he couldn't figure out how they were going to get out of the bags, but Gill just smiled, with the same gleam in his eyes that he had when he first met Nemo, as if to say "I know what to do next."
Peach saw this and said to him, "So what do we do now?"
Gill just smiled and whistled as loudly as he could. Peach and the rest of the gang didn't understand how this could help, but they accepted it anyhow.
Then, not all that far away from them, a boat started its motor and bubbles went flying in every direction. Bubbles saw the bubbles and attempted to swim after them while shouting "bubbles, bubbles, my bubbles." Needless to say, he wasn't all that successful; after all, he was swimming in a plastic bag.
Then Nigel swooped down and hovered above the tank gang. "Can I be of some assistance?" he asked. Then he picked up a crab and used it to cut off the tops of the bags, freeing the fish that were, until recently, held prisoners in the bags. Now that they were all freed, they turned to Gill because he was the only one from the ocean, as if to ask what to do next.
Deb and Gurgle turned to Gill "I guess we owe you an apology. Sometimes your plans really do work. We're sorry that we lost faith in you."
Gill responded, "Yeah, Yeah, enough wit the mushy apologies. But in all seriousness, thanks, it means a lot to me.—Hey Nigel, do you know if Nemo ever met up with his father?"
"No, I don't. I think that Marlin said that he was going home, to the reef."
"Nigel, you said you were from that area, right? I wasn't. Can you talk us there? I want to see if they met up."
"I can't take you there, but I can give you directions. What you have to do is get on the WAC, or the West Australian Current. When you get there I'm sure that you will find someone who can direct you to the reef. After all, it's a big, well-known landmark." he said with a chuckle and flew off calling "I wish you good luck".
"Well, you heard him just as well as I did," Gill said "lets find the WAC."
And together they swam off towards the current.
