CHAPTER VI
THE LOST CAUSE
CONFERENCE ROOM- COLORADO BASE
On the grim day of July 2nd 0082, the Zabis arrived at Colorado base on a highly decorated Gaw. Once they landed, several armed Zeon guards stormed out of it, followed by the entire Zeon family. Then General Revil and several of his officers walked out of the base to greet the Zabis.
"Greetings", said Revil.
"Ditto", said Degwin. "Now, let's get this started, shall we?"
"Agreed", said Revil. He then led the Zeons through the base blindfolded, for they didn't want them taking a good look at the base. Once they go to the conference room, they were unblindfolded and sat down at a large, oval table, filled with lots of food and drink.
"So", said Degwin. "What do you little rebels want now?"
"First", said and angered Revil. "Call off the attack at Greenwich. That silly battle has been going on for months with no outcome."
"But how can we trust you on that?" yelled Dozle. "You're a rebellion; a thorn in our sides. How do we know you won't attack us once we retreat?"
"You can't", said Revil. "But I am just getting to the good part. We have a plan, one that will work out for us all/"
"Yeah?" said Kycilia. "And what is that?"
"To build an eighth colony", said Revil. "There we will live on our own without Zeon control."
"THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!" yelled Dozle. "Where will you get you food? Where will you get the money to get the colony running, and to buy it in the first place? FROM ZEON!"
"Shush, Dozle", said Degwin. "That sounds good, but its flaws are..." Then, a large tremor shook the whole building. Then an alarm rang throughout the whole building, alarming the Zabi family.
"Intruder alert", yelled the siren. "Fifty Zakus, thirty Gelgoogs, and fifty Dopps are all attacking the base. Intruder alert..."
"Oh my god", yelled Revil. Before he could move another inch, an intense white light enveloped his body, and then- silence.
"Is my uniform on straight?" yelled Char.
"Yes", said his tailor. "It looks perfectly fine". Char was really content at the moment. Really really content. His master plan had worked, and he had finally gotten the decision he deserved. By ordering Johnny Ridden to take his battalion to Denver instead of Greenwich, he had successfully destroyed the Zabi family, which was one of his life's goals. Not only that but he hired several assassins to kill any one of a higher rank than him, so that he could be Sovereign of the Principality of Zeon. At the moment, he was going to announce his 'loss' to the whole world, and announce his new leadership.
"Sovereign", said a cameraman. "The camera is ready for you".
"Very well", said Char. He then straightened his uniform and walked in front of the camera.
"Three, two, one, GO!" yelled the cameraman. Char then stared into the screen with a look of pity on his face."
"July 2nd, 0082", said Char. "That date shall be remembered by all humans forever. You may be asking yourself why is it so special? Why would yesterday out of all days be put into history books? Now, nation of Zeon, I have some sad news to deliver- the entire Zabi family is dead. A Rebel force brutally attacked the base, destroying not only the Zabis but also their own leader and base! And that's not all. They got three assassins and assassinated all the Generals that Zeon has to offer! This will not be tolerated! I, Casval Rem Deikun, pledge to make the Rebels pay for their horrible sins. I, the new Sovereign of Zeon, salute you!" He then took off his metal mask to reveal a handsome, blonde face. "LONG LIVE THE PRINCIPALITY OF ZEON!" He didn't know it at the moment, but hundreds of thousands of people watched that speech, knowing that their world would never be the same forever.
"Gary, they're awake", yelled Greg Polanski. Heinz and Francis then got up unsteadily, as the drug that the soldiers gave them was a tad too strong.
"What's up, Greg?" moaned Heinz.
"Step out of the Gunperry and see for yourself", said Greg. Heinz then walked real wobbly out of the Gunperry to see a sight that would haunt him for the rest of his life.
"OH MY GOD!" yelled Heinz. That cry of horror made Francis even more awake. Francis then ran out of the Gunperry, to see Colorado base in ruins. What was once the center of all Rebel activity was now reduced to a junk pile. Heinz was soaked with sorrow at the moment, for he had lost two sets of friends and family in the destruction of Amazon and Colorado base. However, Francis didn't know what to feel. While Heinz was off helping his own people with the war they lost, Francis was with Zeon. He let his stupid philosophies guide him, and this is where they led him. He then ran up to the nearest pile and kicked it. He then looked down at the pile and found something he had never seen before- a giant metal face. He then removed the junk around the alleged face and found a whole head- a head that put fear into the hearts of all Zeons who saw it.
"The Gundam", said an amazed Francis. He then bent down to touch the face, and stared into the eyes of the Gundam. Those eyes mesmerized Francis, and from the moment their two eyes meet, Francis knew his destiny. The Gundam was his destiny, and he was the Gundam's destiny. Together, they would rid the world of all evil that contaminated the Earth, and make it the Earth that all would die for.
