Author's Note: I do not own Harry Potter or any other characters
trademarked by J.K. Rowling. Unfortunately, or I'd be one hella rich
girl But yeah. I couldn't resist. Ah the fluff...;; Let's see...this is
named after that awesome Blink 182 song, Feeling This. For no
particular reason
Disclaimer: Same disclaimer still holds true. I don't own any of the characters, J.K. Rowling does.
Draco had always wondered what it would feel like to kiss Harry Potter. Well, maybe not always, but ever since first year at Hogwarts. Watching Harry on the Hogwarts Express, he'd thought that Harry would be an easy catch. Obviously, he'd been wrong. And each time he tried to correct his mistake, something went wrong. He'd say the wrong thing, or do something wrong, and Harry would look at him with those green eyes, eyes that told him everything he'd ever done wrong was coming to haunt him now, in the rejection of those soulful eyes.
When Harry sent him the note, accompanied by the Invisibility Cloak, all Draco could do was stare;
Malfoy-
Do you remember that time at the beginning of the year when I thought I'd lost my Cloak, and you looked until you found it, then tossed it at me with one of your stupid comments?
Draco remembered.
I remember. And I said thank you, however painfully. You told me I owed you one chance to use it. I could have argued and you would have lost; but I didn't. Don't ask me why.
Draco smiled; it seemed to him that he could hear Harry reading the note to him.
So, here it is. I hope you do something good with it, good luck.
-Harry
Draco read the note again, paying close attention to the handwriting. He decided he liked the way Harry curled his y's and g's. Draco took the Cloak in his arms, sitting on his bed in the cold Slytherin dungeon, and wondered what he could do that would be good. He wanted the first good thing he'd ever done (he liked to think) to be something special to someone beside himself. Then he wondered how he'd gone soft. With a grin, he realized it was Harry. Harry was the one who'd changed him. But of course, no one but Draco knew that.
So maybe...maybe he could pay Harry back for changing him; do something special for Harry. But what could he do for someone who had everything he wanted? Two best friends, Draco smirked, however pathetic the two were. He was a hero, a legend, one that people would likely never forget. But...maybe he was missing something. Draco couldn't help but smile as he imagined the look of amazement that would undoubtedly cover Harry's face at the surprise he was going to get that very night. Now if only Draco could muster the courage to go through with it.
