Through the night,
Upon the day,
My heart beats true,
for one so brave,
he knows not of my love,
Nor my companionship which he finds true.
Love has weasled itself,
right into the bottom of my heart.
No reason left for doubt,
for needless death,
For I thought I loved Lord Aragorn,
thought I would be his wife caring for the heath,
on which our great palace would rest.
But a thorn lay quiet,
the elf lady Arwen,
she cut through my love,
but now there is another.
The steward Faramir is brave,
he fought for my love with little left to save,
we've both been through so much,
and love the king as a king.
We both fight,
for our daily light which we live in,
the shadow is gone,
dead in the sun,
burst through like a bubble,
but we are grateful.
Master Merriadoc,
a dear friend baring courage,
would have sacrificed himself,
for the life of myself,
and the man whom he calls 'Strider'.
So many men hath I loved,
Eomer, my brother,
Theoden, my uncle,
Faramir, my lover,
Aragorn, my king,
and most of all,
the little hobbit who hast braved it all,
for one purpose so small,
Merriadoc, my friend.
They are all great companions, but little is known of the end.
