Morgan and I got caught up in a major clothes sale.
"You wouldn't think that a girl brought up by a single father with no female to look up to would be so girly" Morgan laughed
I nodded, "Well I'm not a tom boy anyway," I said as I came out of the changing room in a beautiful green dress that really matched my eyes.
"Urgh!" Morgan moaned
"What?" I asked
"I envy you! You have curves in all the right places, and I'm completely flat! Clothes fit you so much nicer, plus you have a bust to put in them"
I laughed at Morgan's statement, "You're just a late bloomer, you'll get them"
I had a shape to my body where Morgan didn't, it was funny coz Bree once told us that with my mother and her it was the other way round, my mother had nothing and Bree had all the curves, I guess I got mine from Sky and Alwyn, they've got nice feminine shaped bodies, Goddess knows why Morgan is so flat with a supermodel-like mom, maybe it's from Robbie's side of the family, who knows.
After we had over spent our shopping budget we headed to 'Millie's muffins' with what little money we had left to save on food.
We saw my dad and Sky in the sitting at a booth in a heavy discussion about something so we headed over and joined them.
"Spent up" I said holding up all the shopping bags,
Sky laughed, "Like we said, we don't travel light" I grinned
"What you having?" my dad asked
"Uhm, a muffin perhaps," Morgan laughed at my remark
"Wise choice" Sky nodded seriously then broke into a smile.
"Okay, this isn't fair, why do the women gang up on me?" my dad pouted,
"Ah get over it da, you're a man, its what we do, we are a better more dominating species,"
"That right, you tell him girl" Sky said, I'm sure she was just humouring me now, so I decided to quit while I was ahead.
"So what have you guy's been up to?" I asked the pair
"Just talking, catching up" my dad replied
Soon a waitress came to our table and Morgan and I ordered extra large double choc chip muffins and a hot cocoa each, my dad being my dad paid for them.
"We had money you know," I told him
"So I want to spoil my daughter now and then, what's the big deal?"
I smiled, he really was a great dad, I can't imagine life without him.
"So Sky, how's the latest of the Sky future cast off collection?" I asked
"Cast off" she grinned
My dad chuckled, "Why did you dump that Percy? He was a nice enough guy"
Sky shot my dad an "are you kidding" look
"His name was Percy! Enough said" she rolled her eyes.
Morgan and I burst into fits of giggles
Then our muffin's and cocoa came, but that wasn't what had my attention, I felt something, like a tingle sensation down my neck and spine.
I looked to the door of the shop and saw a guy come in, he was about my height maybe a few inches higher so roughly 5"7 and he had brown hair that was brushed forward and gelled with it flicking up at the top, he had deep brown eyes and freckles around his nose, as soon as I saw him I felt all tingly all over and I felt instantly attracted to him.
I cast out my senses and was glad to learn he was a witch, he stopped dead and turned my way and looked deep into my eyes and smiled which made shivers go down my spine.
I wanted to get up and say hello but I felt my dad's eyes on me, I turned my head back round and thought right, he was staring at me with a "What do you think you're doing?" look
"You know him?" my dad asked
I shook my head, "No,"
"I do," Morgan said
"Who is he?" I asked
"He's in my trig class, he's a junior,"
We were sophomores; Morgan takes advanced trig with the juniors.
"Funny, I've not seen him around" I said casually
"He's new, moved from Ireland or something, his name is Tim O'Connell"
I still felt my dad watching me as if to say "you're still my little girl don't think about it just yet"
But I looked around and he was just leaving with a plastic cup of hot. . . something.
I shrugged my feelings away and turned back to the people at my table.
"So what's on the agenda for tonight's circle?" I asked cleverly changing the subject.
Roughly half an hour later we we're all full up on muffins and cocoa and decided to go home, on the way we dropped off Morgan and headed to our house.
"Home again" Dad sing-songed when we got through the front door as he so often did.
I headed straight for my bedroom to write in my book of shadows.
~~~ How do you know when you've found 'the one'?
Well I think I did today, Oh goddess he's so nice, so good-looking and so perfect and so. . . mine!
I didn't even speak to the guy, but I'm so sure he's my mùirn beatha dàn, I've never felt this way about a guy, everything about him excited me, spoke to me!
I don't know what scares me more, that I fell in love with a guy I had only caught sight of once, or that I'll never catch sight of him again
I must see him again. . . but how can I find him?
