"Buffy..."

Listening to the once silent cemeteries of Sunnydale, Buffy slows her walk hoping to discover the owner of the voice whispering her name.

"Buffy..."

She hears again the ringing of her name. With her concentration focused on finding the voice-holder, she bumps into someone...

"Buffy?"

She hears her name again; only this time it wasn't the strange voice uttering her name. It was Angel.

"Hey, what are you doing here? I thought we agreed to, you know, stay away from each other?" Buffy questioned trying her best to be distracted from Angel's concerned and loving expressions.

"I know we agreed, but Giles sent me he wants to see you, something about the mayor."

She walked past him and told him to leave. She didn't want him to but it was the only way she could have a normal life, he only brought hardships onto the already pained life of the slayer.

He left and she was alone once again.

Being unaccompanied once again she heard her name again.

The trail of her name lingered throughout the cemetery and she followed until she reached the warehouse where her name was heard as clear and loud as speakers at a concert.

"Okay! Come out, I found you!" Buffy's voice echoed throughout the empty room of the abandoned warehouse.

"You're right, you found me, wasn't expecting any less," said the figure walking out from the shadows that haunted the nights of Sunnydale. He was a teenage boy, dark hair 5'3"ish.

"Who are you?" Buffy said eyeing the boy looking him up and down.

"That is not important. What's important is that you have a tough life, and I can help you with that."

"I don't think so... I'll be going now," Buffy said walking out of the warehouse.

"Wait you haven't heard what I have to say. The Powers that Be have agreed that you have made your contribution as a slayer. They want to give you a normal life."

"Really?" Buffy said in shock and excitement. That's all she ever really wanted.

"The catch is, you switch lives with another," the boy said looking for a response on her face.

But he didn't need one because Buffy had screamed 'Yes!' without even thinking of the other person or even her friends.

The boy smiled an evil grin and waved his hands.

She opened her eyes to a diner. She was the waitress as she could tell from her uniform. Buffy smiled at the prospect of a normal life ahead of her, at last!

Suddenly there was a commotion at a table up in front. Gunshots went off and Buffy fell to the ground unaware of what just happened. Until the pain in her stomach told her, she was shot.

A boy came up to her and looked into her eyes. He fixed her in someway that she couldn't conceive of.

"You just spilled ketchup..." He broke the bottle and poured it on her.

Buffy looked up at him confused. 'What just happened?' she thought. He looked back at Buffy while running out the door.

'So much for normal...'
