Marry Me
By Anna Yolei
Hee, look at this, I've written yet another short A/T'P fic. Someone suggested I do a full fic following their romance, but I have only enough energy to devote to one chapter fic this year…well, two, because of their contrasting natures. (One of which will be posted after this fic.) I wrote this because the idea popped into my mind. It's kinda short, since I had to write it before I left for science camp.
As for this fic, it's G, because of its uber-fluffiness :) I own nothing.

I'm so scared to do this, he thought to himself, pacing the floor. What if she doesn't…? Well, what if she does? Oh, Jonathon Archer, just do it.
Jonathon looked down at his desk, and at the small box that sat unopened on it. A diamond ring sat in it, and a note was attached to the outside of the box:
T'Pol:
I gave this to you as a symbol of how much I care for you. I know you'll never tell me this, but I do love you. –Jonathon.
Simple, but to the point. He was certain he wanted to do this since two mornings ago when he woke up with her in his arms in his quarters. The night before, they had been watching a movie and had fallen asleep next to one another. But Jonathon took one look at her sleeping face and realized he didn't want to wake up another morning without her there next to him.
How did this happen? I'm in love with the one creature in the universe I couldn't stand. I still don't like most Vulcans, but I care so much for this one.
Jonathon looked at the box again. Am I ready for this?
With a deep breath, he grabbed the box and went to her quarters.

It seemed like an eternity before she answered the chime to her door, but T'Pol eventually did. She had changed into her sleepwear and was meditating before Jonathon had arrived.
"Jonathon," she stated. "Come in." She stepped aside and let him through.
Well, I guess it's too late to back out of this now, Jon said to himself. I just have to go with it. He took a deep breath, grabbed the box and began.
"Um, T'Pol…I was, ah...thinking that we've known each other for a long time….as co-workers, then friends, and then as…lovers." He started to pace around the room as he always did in nervousness. "I don't know many people that have a relationship like ours."
"It is very unusual," she replied. The box in his hand caught her attention, and she realized what Jonathon was trying to do. She wouldn't spoil it for him.
" We've been through a lot of stuff together. I know I can trust you with my life."
"And I with mine, Jonathon." She blinked slowly as she anticipated his question.
"And also, I….I…." Jonathon forgot what he wanted to say, but most of it T'Pol had already heard, and he knew she didn't like listening to facts she already knew about. He sighed, knowing he had to do this soon, or he'd lose the nerve.
"Actually, I have an important question to ask." With every bit of energy in his being, he took hold of her right hand and got down on one knee. Her heart soared as much as any Vulcan's heart can soar as he pulled open the box and said:
"T'Pol, please marry me."
He looked up to find her nodding, as words were failing her just then. Oh, Gods. She said yes. She said yes!
"I had wished you had done this earlier," she said with a hint of a smile on her face.
He slipped the ring in her finger, then pulled her in for a hug.
"You've made me the happiest man alive," he replied.
And you've made me the happiest Vulcan I know, T'Pol added in her mind.

Yeah, I know. It's a little short. I have so many ideas for A/T'P fics, but they're always short ficcys. Oh, well, A/T'P is A/T'P to me. Please R&R.

This is the link to "The Enterprise Spring Vacation," which is rated R. You'll enjoy that.
