Walking into the room, she looked out her window and frowned at the rain, remembering. She remembered the last time she had seen him. He had just gotten done fighting with his brother, again.

She remembered his red kimono, brighter than the surrounding roses, or the few drops of blood that came from his scratches, billowing around him.

She remembered his shocking white hair, twisting back and forth in the wind. She remembered the gentle smell of his hair, sweet roses and fresh rain. He always hated when she told him that. Said it made him sound to girly.

She remembered his flashing gold eyes. How they tightened with anger as he looked at his brother. And how they relaxed with love when they looked at her.

She remembered the laughs from that day. How he tried so hard to make her smile. He even rolled into the priests most expensive flowers. He smelled like sweat peas after that. He even jumped into the river, trying to impress her.

She frowned, remembering the scars that ran up and down his back now. His brother had managed to hit him a few times. The poison from his claws seeping through the bright red kimono.

She sighed, still remembering, when she heard a slight tapping at the door. She looked up and saw him, staring at her happily.

"Can I come in?" he called.

"Why do you even ask, it's your house to," was the calm reply.

"Fine, the one time I try to be a gentleman, she tells me to act like a dog, when I act like a dog, I'm supposed to act like a gentleman," he said causing both of them to laugh.

"That's because your timing is so off," she said.

They both collapsed on the bed, still smiling. They laid there for a long time, her falling asleep and him stroking her hair.

"How are they?" he asked, his hand moving to her oversized stomach.

"They're fine, just wanted to see their daddy, goodnight Inuyasha," was the tired reply, right before she fell asleep.

He looked at her and thought aloud to himself, "Good night my angel, my Kagome
