Title: Easter Eggs Author: Jcsangel88 Rating: G Pairing: Nick and Sara!!! A/N: Just a short story I thought up this morning, so after a 6 hour day at work and a 2 hour trip to the Arcade with my sister, here it is. The only thing I have to add is that Nick and Sara have been dating for a while when this story takes place!

*****

Sara groaned as she got up. Looking at the clock she realized it was only 7:00 on a Sunday morning. Grissom had given her the night before off, as a reward for working 2 double shifts in a row. She had been so tired, she hadn't even noticed when Nick had gotten in. She pulled on a pair of sweats under her large T-shirt and yawned as she started into the kitchen to start her special Easter Dinner.

"What the?" Sara stopped as she kicked something. After chasing it across the kitchen, she realized that it was a pink plastic Easter Egg. Opening it up, she noticed a typed note, along with a Hershey's kiss. She read the note and realized Nick was sending her on a wild goose chase. There were a dozen eggs hidden around her house, and it was up to her to find them all before the Easter Party they had planned on. Sara hurried to shove the large ham into the oven (Where she found another egg) before eagerly completing her search.

She laughed at the easy eggs; the ones in the flowerpot and on top of the lamp. She wouldn't be a very good CSI if she missed those. The harder ones, like the one in the dryer, made her sigh in frustration. Finally, 45 minutes later, she had found almost all the eggs. She only had one left. She had already searched everywhere and she sat down to think.

Finally she realized the only room she had missed was her bedroom where Nick was still sleeping.

"Morning Sara," he murmured as she wandered in.

"Where's the last one?" she demanded.

"Give me a hug," Nick said grinning. Sara climbed on top of the bed and straddled him. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly.

"Now where's the egg?"

"I dunno. Which ones have you found?" he asked. She sighed.

"The flowerpot, dryer, lampshade, egg carton in the fridge, under the kitchen table, the fishbowl, the one in the freezer, the oven, the kitchen floor, inside the hollow book on my desk, and inside the dirty clothes hamper in the bathroom," she laughed, he wasn't extremely creative.

"I'll give you a clue," he said. "But you have to give me a kiss." Sara reached under the covers to grab his hands. She stopped suddenly when her hand hit his.

"Cheater!" She accused, finding him holding the missing egg. She got off him and pretended to pout.

"Open it," Nick ordered as he climbed off the bed.

"Okay," Sara opened the egg and found a beautiful diamond ring. "Nick, it's-it's-it's ..."

He laughed. Sara looked up and noticed him kneeling by the bed. "Sara Noelle, will you marry me?" he asked.

Sara looked at him in shock, "I-I don't know what to say!"

"Yes, usually works very well," he prompted.

"Yes! I will. Marry you," she added as if he could have forgotten the question. Nick grinned and slipped the ring on her finger. "Well, Mrs. Stokes, I believe we have a dinner party to get ready for." Nick picked her up and carried her into the kitchen.

THE END!
