A crimson-scarlet fire crackled as InuYasha added a few more sticks of firewood. He looked around, wiping a few ashes off of his kimono. Only he, Kagome, and Sango were at the fire, since Miroku and Shippou were in the woods looking for some more herbs for healing with Kaede. He was starting to wonder if they would mind if he ate their fish that Kagome cooked.
Sango and Kagome were trying to fit everything Kagome had into her large yellow backpack. InuYasha didn't really care, until when Kagome stuffed in what InuYasha reconized as a "alarm clock". It rang loudly when she tried to cram it in.
"Kagome! Why the Hell are you and Sango packing all of that crap?" asked an annoyed InuYasha.
Kagome furrowed her brow and didn't answer. Sango sighed, glancing back at a silent Kagome.
"It's not really any of your business, InuYasha," commented the youkai huntress.
InuYasha scowled. "Going to leave tomorrow to see your good 'friend', Kouga?"
Sango bit her lip. "InuYasha..." she murmured quietly as Kagome turned around and stood up.
Kagome didn't look back at Sango. She grabbed her backpack and walked, maybe even ran, towards the well into the woods.
Sango glared at InuYasha, as if he had stabbed Kagome with the Tetsusaiga. "Well, InuYasha?" she asked angrily.
InuYasha was still in shock of what had just happened. "What'd I do?!"
Sango stood up and rapped him hard on the head with the Hiraikotsu. "You know what you did! Kagome was packing all of her things so she could bring it home tomorrow to empty it out. She was going to pack it with food for a picnic she was going to 'surprise' you with! And you just threw it in her face! Well SURPRISE InuYasha. And you know what?! I'm glad we're leaving tomorrow, so we can stay away from insensitive jerks like you!"Sango shouted at him. She knew how important it was to Kagome.
InuYasha stared in shock, rubbing his head as Sango ran after her best friend and adoptive sister. And what did Sango mean by "leaving tomorrow"? Was Kagome leaving with Sango somewhere?

Miroku walked next to Inuyasha with Shippou on his shoulder. He shrugged. "So I guess you found out about the little surprise, hm?" InuYasha was worried about Kagome. Usually when he said anything about Kouga, she wouldyell at him, telling him that she would never be with Kouga. It kind of made him happy when she said that she wasn't going anywhere. With each step that Kagome took, he could feel his blood run colder and colder. He knew that she was crying, because he smelled the scent of Kagome's salty tears. Everytime Kagome had left, he always knew that she would come back, but it scared him to death when he wasn't sure if she would.

Sango finally caught up with Kagome. She was sitting on the well with her hands on her face, sobbing. Sango rushed by her and knelt. "Shhh..." Sango wiped away Kagome's tear on her left cheek when Kagome removed her hands. "Don't worry, Kagome. We're going to have a vacation tomorrow! And you won't have to see him or think about him!" Kagome smiled. "You're right. You know what? Let's spend the night at my house, that way we can pack up for Cancun."
"Now tell me again where Cancun is?" asked Sango.
"It's a fun city on the coast of a country called Mexico. A lot of people go there to swim and relax. My school gave everyone in our classe a ticket-a peice of paper that lets you go."
