I hop into the car that Paige has decided to drive. I'm in the very back with Craig, we're behind the lovely Hazel and Jimmy who chat among themselves. I look over at Paige as Craig shuts the van door.
"You're driving, Paige?" I ask unthinkingly. She adjusts her rearview mirror after putting on her seatbelt.
"Don't worry, Hun, Paige has everything under control," she puts on her purple tented sunglasses with a heart on the side printed in rhinestones. She smiles at me and I manage to give one back. "Fasten your seatbelts and please, no making out," she looks back at us. I hear Jimmy and Hazel laugh. Craig smiles too. The van starts up and it almost scares me. Craig looks at me.
"Are you okay?" he asks. Paige starts driving. I look at Craig.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I assure him. "I can't believe my mom let me come," I say to myself. Craig chooses to respond.
"Well, Joey had to get every single detail," Craig says smiling. I chuckle.
"Joey can trust you," he looks at me. "I can tell," I admit.
"Yeah, well, I did a few things that weren't so trustful," he confesses. I look up at him.
"Like what?" I ask out of curiosity. He shrugs.
"Like, one time, I took this car out of his dealership, having no clue he had a silent alarm, and went on a joyride with a few of my friends, won Kid tickets, and got busted," He said sitting back. I laugh. He laughs a little too and looks at me.
"I bet it wasn't funny when he caught you was it?" I ask. He shakes his head.
"Nah, he gave me the whole trust speech," he admits. I nod. Things get quiet for a second. Trust. It's such a strong word.
"Did you ever tell Joey," I pause. He looks at me quickly. "About- about me?" I ask. He doesn't say anything we just stare at each other. I look down. "About the baby," I whisper so no one else will hear. My eyes look over the car for a second but no one has seemed to tune in. Craig's eyes slide to the ground. I look out the window.
"I didn't want him to get worried, M-Manny," he looks at me but I don't look back.
"Craig, just don't, just," I sigh. "Just, before you think about anyone getting worried or scared," I turn to him. "Think about me," I say. I swallow as I look at him. He looks sorry but I don't care
"Manny, look, I'm sorry," he whispers. "You know you and our baby meant the world to me," our baby. I smirk. He wants to be with me, I was right all along. We are meant to be.
"Thanks, Craig," I say thankfully with my eyes sparkling with glee. I bite my lip. I find myself close to him and nudging my head into his chest. I close my eyes and fall asleep.

When I awake, I find that I'm lying the ledge of the window and not on Craig's chest, opening my eyes to the greens and yellows that have been made from the color of bright sun that sits triumphantly in the sky. I dare to look over at Craig's face but when I do, he just stares. At me of course. He looks still and focused on my face like he's been staring for ages. I ignore it and wipe my eyes. I look over again after I completely sit up. He still stares.
"What is it?" I ask a little disturbed at his staring. He removes his fist from his cheek and sits up. He looks at me.
"It's you," he says. I know I must look confused. "That's all I think about," he pauses and looks into my eyes deeply. "Is you," he says. I can feel a smirk creep onto my face. I reach over and put my hand on his.
"Do you love me, Craig?" I ask. He smiles and chuckles a bit. He nods.
"Yeah, yeah I do," he admits. I bite my lip. I reach up tall and kiss him. One of those kisses I've been waiting for, for as long as forever. I pull away and look at him. He looks serious. Then he pulls me in for another. A longer one where I hold onto his face as his arms curl around me. I feel myself leaning back onto the seats and then . . .
"Manny! Manny, wake up!" I hear someone call. My head shoots up from the ledge. I see Paige wide-eyed and almost furious. In the background, everyone stands watching. I know I must be red. I gasp and start out the car. "C'mon, Manny, your stuff is in the trunk," Paige says starting to walk off in the distance. Jimmy, Hazel, Paige, and Spinner walk off leaving Craig and me alone. He hurries to the trunk.
"Here, let me," He says as he grabs my suitcase from the trunk. I feel a little smile upon my face. I walk over to him. I try to grab the suitcase but he keeps it in his grasp. "I'll do it," he smiles. I grin as he shuts the trunk opening, and manages to carry his and my suitcase. We start to follow the other's trail.
"Thanks, Craig," I begin as we start walking. "For inviting me," I say in gratitude. He nods. I think we're trying to forget our little mishaps.
"Yeah, no problem," he says. I grin.
"I'm just happy you're actually speaking to me again," I admit.
"Manny, I'm sorry," he says. We stop walking. "For everything, I mean, I yelled at you when you needed me the most, I looked completely selfish-"I stop him. I grab his neck and hurry in for a kiss. He doesn't deny. We stand there for a second and just fall into the moment.
"Don't hurt yourselves!" I hear Spinner yell. I giggle as I pull away. We both look down the trail at them all smiling at us. They shake their heads and begin to ignore us again. Craig looks at me.
"C'mon, lets go," he grins and we run off to catch up with the rest of the crew.

"Okay, that was the grossest thing I think I have ever saw," I say as we all walk back to our tents after fishing. I watch my step as we walk. The guys' chuckle.
"You should have seen Manny's face when I said that's what we're eating. It was so hilarious," Craig brags. Jimmy and Spinner laugh.
"We wouldn't know, we weren't the ones over alone in the corner," Jimmy brings up. Craig shakes his head.
"Dude, you are so going to get some," Spinner says. They are apart from the girls now, so they make sure no one can hear them. Craig looks at Spinner almost in shock. He looks over at Jimmy too.
"You think?" Craig asks.
"If you hear anything tonight, Spin, it won't be a raccoon," Jimmy jokes.
"Look, I don't care what you two do, but stay away from mine and Paige's tent," Spinner says passing the two he runs up to Paige. The two laugh.
"Maybe we'll both get lucky," Jimmy says. Craig grins. Jimmy starts off to his girlfriend, which is a cue Craig should too. But he stays back for a minute or two before I turn around and look at him.
"Craig, c'mon, it's getting cold," I call as I hold myself. I see him grin and he runs to me. He grabs me from the back and picks me up. I squeal in joy. He runs me over to our tent area where he lets me fall onto the grass. I'm laughing so hard I can't breathe.
"Is she going to be okay?" Hazel asks. I calm down as Craig lies next to me, letting his head rests on his hand. I look over at the campfire Spinner has already started. I hold myself again from the coldness. I feel Craig grab my close and I can feel his breath on my neck and his eyes staring too at the blazing fire. I look over at Paige sitting alone as Spinner searches eagerly for the marshmallows and Hazel who is annoyed by the cold. I bite my lip. We're the only couple here that is almost perfect. No worries. I chuckle to myself.
"Anyone else want some marshmallows?" Spinner asks. I sit up.
"Me!" I say. He smiles and throws the bag my way where a few unlucky marshmallows fly out and hit Craig and I. We laugh it off. I look around our spot. I reach over at grab a long stick and thrust it into my big gooey white square. I lean over and begin to watch it roast in the fire. I look over and watch Paige refuse Spinner's wanting to roast her marshmallow.
"C'mon, I'll do it right this time," he says. She finally agrees and, without care, he sticks it into the fire. We all giggle as he pulls it out.
"Not so close to the fire, Spinner!" she yelps. He observes the burnt whiteness. We all laugh. "Thanks," she says as she folds her arms. I bite my lip and pull my marshmallow out of the fire. I study it. It's a little burnt but I don't mind. I poke it and pull back in pain. I suck on my finger for a second before looking over at Craig. I grin. I point the marshmallow to him and he begins to blow on it, cooling it down. After a second he stops and looks up at me. I bring it to my mouth and take a bite.
"That's good," I say smiling. We both laugh. I point the stick back at him where he too takes a bite. We laugh again. Jimmy stands up.
"Me and Hazel are cold, we're going to bed," he glances over at Craig and grins. "Night," he states before helping Hazel up and heading to the tent. Paige stands up too.
"Same here, I've had enough quality time for tonight," she says looking at Spinner. Spinner rolls his eyes and follows her into the tent. I shake my head and look back at Craig. We both smile.
"Ready?" Craig asks. I smile and nod. We rise from the grass and start off into our tents. I fall down and Craig falls beside me. I hurry and get under the thick blanket and buddle up as Craig does the same. As we lay still I look at him. We smile at each other. I reach over and give him a quick kiss on the lips before lying back down. I turn my back to him to get comfortable. He pulls me and holds me as I close my eyes and try to fall to sleep. After a minute, he starts to kiss my neck. The tingly feeling all over falls upon me and I begin to giggle. I don't mind it at all. He lets go of my hand and it begins to outline my waist and further up. I open my eyes and I hurry to hold his hand again. He starts to let go and begin outlining again. I rise and hold myself up with my elbows.
"Craig," I say in a firm voice. He too rises.
"What?" he asks. I roll my eyes. He knows. He sighs annoyed. "Is it wrong if I want to be with you?" he asks.
"Craig, I'm not ready yet," I say not looking over at him.
"Oh what, you don't want to do anything with me anymore?" he asks.
"No, I just don't want to do this tonight," I say firmly again.
"Manny, c'mon, I thought we were a couple again," he brings up. I look over at him.
"That doesn't mean we have to do this and mess up again," I tell him. He looks confused.
"Mess up? You think what we were doing was messing up?" he asks. "You were pregnant, Manny. With OUR kid and you decided to-"he stopped. I could feel the tears well up in my eyes and my lip quiver. He's in front of me right now and I just stay still watching him.
"So I ruined our lives, huh?" I say almost whispering. "I made your life miserable and I screwed everything up, right?" I ask. He doesn't say anything. I shake my head and wipe my tears. "I'm not going to cry over you anymore because you know what, I've learned you aren't worth a damn thing," and with that I take my pillow and blankets and head outside to the still burning fire. I can hear him call my name but I don't look back. I lay my thick blanket down and pillow and collapse, covering myself up with another cover. I lie there and watch the flames battle one another and don't dare to shed a tear.
