@Twinlakesghrl : Thank you so much for the support! But sorry, I can't let Nara keep her hands off her hubby. Wifely rights. He! He!

@Jamie : Thanks to a reader like you, I'm still here. Those flamers will not deter me from keep on writing.

@Dur En Thurin Naur : One of the greatest? Ooh, that's so sweet! Love you! Yes. Aragorn has a kid (enter Eldarion). Be afraid. Be very afraid (I already have a plot for Legolas and Eldarion's adventure together!)

@Coolio02: It is horrible, believe me. To have your entire family gone from you in one stroke is the most horrible thing that could ever happen to any one of us.

@Joee1 : Let's put on a sign; 'Do not flame unless you get the facts straight'. You're right, mate. The flamers should do their revision first before they stuck their foot in their own mouth. LOL! And thank you for liking Nara, even though I plan to separate her from Leggy for a while. (I'm jealous, I know).

@beginning end 314 : Okay. Don't be bored anymore. 'The Return Of Adromir' will spice you up!

@Baby Blaize : Something bad will happen—like always. You'll see!

@Young Storyteller : Yes. Very 18-SX start! (I hope my mom didn't read that part!) And yep! Eldarion will join the gang!

@namarie2legolas : Thank you for not turning me in, considering how I have abused Tolkien's works so badly these days! About the flamers, okay, pooh on them!

@Nikki1 :  Yes, Gimli found Hawkeye. But the dwarf still didn't know what he had stumbled into! LOL! You are so right. Technically, Tolkien never said if Leggy is a bachelor or if Leggy has no pet. Not at all.

@Gwyn : I think so too! Ha ha…!

@amber eyed wolf : Ah…I can't kill the ravens. Not just yet. Let them torture Leggy first! (Cruel evil laughter rang throughout the room…)

@szhismine : Thank you for laughing. ;) When will it be Leggy's turn to be a father? Err…work in progress.

@Lady Lenna : It was stated by Tolkien that Aragorn's son was named Eldarion. Aragorn also had several daughters but no names were mentioned, though. Okay, I won't listen to that dude, that drama king/queen! I mean, why should I? Right?

@MusicstarLover : Aragorn is going to be dragged into all that mess.

@Kayo : Leggy is already doing the hanky-panky with his wife, but it will be a long time until he becomes a daddy. Gallard as an eagle is similar to the American bald eagle, if only a little bigger but not as big as Gwaihir and his clan. His size is majestic enough.

@Hp-Azn : Yes! Yes! Eldarion! Yes!

@Sailor Elf : I guess so too. Hey, mellon! Stop dancing in the street! There's a truck coming!

Thank you, thank you, and thank you for all the supports! Those flamers just won't stand a chance with all you standing out for me!

So here's the next chappie!

********************************************************************************

"Oooh…look at him. So beautiful," Narasene crooned, gazing tenderly at the sleeping baby in her arms. Her husband stood right next to her, hugging her waist and also staring at the newborn heir to the throne of Gondor.

"He is so…tiny," Legolas muttered, transfixed and awed to see the adorable sight of the infant lying next to his wife's breast.

"Of course he is, love. How did you think he managed to come out if he was bigger than this?" Narasene teased, causing Legolas to roll his eyes. "I know that, imp!" he retorted, hugging his wife tighter. Then he smiled as he kissed the back of her neck. "So. You want one?"

Narasene slightly turned. "What?"

"A baby. Do you want one?" Legolas repeated with the lift of his eyebrows, grinning wickedly.

She smiled back at him. "Actually, no. I don't want one."

Legolas' face fell. "You…you don't?"

Narasene's smile grew wider. "No, I don't. I'd rather have five…at least."

The prince instantly heaved a deep sigh of relief. "Five. All right. I think we can manage that." Then he glared at his wife. "Ai Elbereth! You scared me just now! To think that you don't want to have my children…"

"I didn't say that, did I?" Narasene reached up and cupped his cheek. "I'd love to have everything with you, my lord. Everything."

Smiling, Legolas lowered his lips until they met hers, kissing her passionately. He could already imagine the wonderful family they were going to create in the future.

From the other side of the bed, Aragorn and Arwen looked on in silent amusement. The queen of Gondor was still resting after the hard birth two days ago, but her face was glowing bright with joy. The painful nine hours of labor she had gone through had been worth it. And she would gladly go through it all again for such a precious gift of life.

Aragorn however did not fully agree. He was still shaken by Arwen's unbidden cries and grunts of agony during the delivery. Despite the midwife's advice, the king had insisted to sit beside his queen to give her support and comfort. In the end, Arwen was the one who had to comfort him when she saw how the mighty Gondor king had turned pale and nearly fainted at the midwife's announcement, "I see the head!"

As the other couple kept on kissing with the baby tucked between them, Aragorn chuckled out loud. "Enough, you two! My son is still too innocent for this…uh…adult behavior!"

Legolas released his wife and took the baby from her arms. Cradling him gently, the prince leaned down and kissed the baby's forehead. "He is perfect, Estel," the prince said as he walked over and gave the infant back to his mother. "We are very happy for you both."

"Thank you, Legolas," Arwen replied, adjusting the baby's blanket with her gentle fingers. "He is our dream come true."

Wrapping an arm around Arwen's shoulders, Aragorn said with a knowing smile, "His name is Eldarion,"

Legolas went still. Speechless, he keenly stared at the king and queen, almost unaware of Narasene's supporting arm around his waist.

"Eldarion," Legolas finally muttered. "As in Keldarion, my brother's name. You remember."

"Of course, I remember," Aragorn responded. "I had promised you years ago to name my son after your brother, didn't I? And I bet Ell and Ro will be overjoyed that I took half of their name too."

"I'm sure they will." Legolas nodded. "Thank you, Estel. This is an honor. A great honor." Legolas found it hard to say more for there was a huge lump in his throat, so touched he was by his friend's thoughtful deed.

Aragorn stood and clasped the elf's shoulder. "It is actually our honor to have our son carry part of your brother's name. He is a great person, Legolas. I know you miss him, as do we all. This way, Kel will always be with us even when he is no longer here."

Prince Keldarion, Legolas' older brother, had sailed for Valinor over three years ago. The pain of parting with him was still fresh in Legolas' heart, as if it happened only yesterday. Still, he was convinced that they would reunite some day.

"Talking about the twins, when do you think are they going to be here?" Legolas suddenly asked, pulling himself out of his melancholy.

Aragorn grinned. "I will give them one more day, if they didn't kill their mounts pushing their way here that is."

The two friends chuckled, knowing the great love and concern that Elladan and Elrohir, Lord Elrond's twin sons, had for their younger sister. After Elrond's departure to Valinor, the twins still resided in Rivendell, taking over their father's task of looking after the realm. Their grandfather, Lord Celeborn, also lived with them after his wife, Lady Galadriel, had joined Elrond's ship. Celeborn rarely traveled far from Rivendell these days, but they were sure he would also arrive with his grandsons to see his newborn great-grandson.

Both king and prince turned to watch their wives who had their heads close together as they conversed softly to each other, chuckling and whispering. Obviously, they were sharing some interesting gossips between them.

Aragorn sent a knowing glance at his friend and shrugged. Females! the gesture seemed to say. Legolas grinned and nodded in agreement.

Then the baby in Arwen's arms suddenly stirred and began to bawl. The queen looked down. "Oh, poor little one," she crooned. "He is hungry," she told Narasene.

"How do you know?" her best friend asked, reaching up and tenderly stroking the annoyed infant's soft hair.

"My breasts feel so full and tight," Arwen innocently replied.

Legolas blushed crimson when he heard this, while Aragorn had a weird smile on his face. "It is time for his feed, then?" he eagerly noted. "Believe me, Legolas. It is the most tender and sweetest thing to see when a mother breastfeed her child."

Legolas gulped. "But not if the mother is someone else's wife, mind you! I'll wait for mine when the time comes."

Aragorn glanced back and forth between his friend's stricken face and their wives' amusing ones. He broke up laughing then. "You are right! I'm so sorry!" he said, throwing an arm over his friend's shoulders. "Come, my friend. Let's have some drinks while my lady wife nourishes my son. We both need some nourishment ourselves!"

The elf glared at the man. "Really, Estel. Your sense of humor has grown a lot worse these days."

Aragorn just laughed as he pulled the elf out of the royal couple's chamber.

*********************************

"Hawkeye is actually a…a...a draq? Part man, part eagle?" Aragorn's eyes widened as he stared in disbelief at his friend. He put his wine glass back onto the table, the drink untouched.

"Correct." Legolas nodded, gazing thoughtfully at the purple liquid in his own glass. "Unbelievable, isn't it? I had thought he was a con artist at first. But when I saw him change…" He shook his head and down his drink in one gulp before adding, "Oh, yes. He is indeed Hawkeye."

The two were sitting in the king's parlor, a table laden with refreshments between them. Legolas had just finished telling his best friend the whole story about Gallard. Aragorn had been listening in apt interest, his mouth hanging open in amazement.

"Tasqamaran?" the king of Gondor finally muttered. "I never heard of it."

"I have," Legolas responded. He then stood up to walk over to the huge window. Staring at the vast Pelennor Field with his hands clasped behind his back, the elf continued, "But I thought it was a myth, a hidden legend created by those romantic-hearted minstrels that grace our royal hall in Mirkwood. It seemed too surreal to be true. Now it has dropped right onto my doorstep."

Aragorn also got to his feet and went to stand beside his friend. "What are you going to do?"

Legolas turned to face the man. He was grinning. "What do you think?"

Aragorn saw the gleam in Legolas' eyes, and he sighed. "Right. Why did I even bother asking? You are going to help Gallard reclaim the throne, aren't you?"

"Of course."

The former ranger sighed louder. "Legolas, tell me the truth. Are you bored?"

Legolas' brows lifted. "Bored? Certainly not! With a wife like Nara, my life is full of excitement every day!" he exclaimed with a naughty smirk.

Aragorn rolled his eyes at that. "Yes. I can clearly see that. You two were smooching in my chamber just now, remember?"

Legolas laughed out loud with a nonchalant wave of his hand. "Oh, yes. Sorry about that. We'll find better room next time." He danced away when Aragorn made a move to cuff the back of his head.

"You are so pathetic, elf," the man said with a rueful smile. "Now, seriously, are you looking for more adventure? To recover the Tasqamaran kingdom—wherever that is—will be no easy feat. What do you plan to do?"

Legolas grudgingly shrugged. "I have no idea. But we are going to wait until Hawkeye gets better. I've told my warriors to safeguard him at all times. When he can finally stand on his feet or glide on his wings, we will figure out what to do next."

"We?" Aragorn said incredulously. "As in…you and me?"

"Yes. Hawkeye will need all the help he can get. And who better to help him than the king of Gondor himself?"

"Oh. Right. Of course. How stupid of me," Aragorn mumbled, rolling his eyes once again. He didn't know how it happened but the elf seemed to be controlling the entire bizarre situation, coercing him to do something that he didn't know he would do. "Thank you for asking me to join your cause, Legolas. I'm so happy to face probable war and death once more," he added sarcastically.

"You are welcome," Legolas joyfully replied, clapping his friend on the back. "Come. There's something I want to show you."

"What?"

"We've brought a gift for your son. It's in the stable."

"Wait. Let me guess. Is it a four-legged creature?"

"Exactly! He is a two year-old white stallion that Arod has sired! He will be a wonderful mount for Eldarion!"

Aragorn groaned as he let himself be dragged out of the parlor. "Legolas, need I remind you that my son is still an infant? I'm not sure about elves, but we human learn to ride after we can walk!"

Laughter was the only reply that came from Legolas.
