Air caressed by crimson cloth.
The curtains part;
Stage the act:
Moonlight seeps
In shadowed silver
Through gaps in dustied shutters.
Sentinels against the world,
Shrieking walls surround
This scene so tender:
I writhe and pulse,
You clutch and conquer;
In darkness' cradle, here I call
Your name on my lips,
My hands on your shoulders,
Salt on my tongue,
You dance above me.
Skin on skin, we touch.
In need and affection,
We possess and belong--
--We are one.
Black eyes glitter
In fascination
As you thread your fingers
Through my hair.
An act so gentle,
Caresses so sweet;
We lay; we love.
My name on your lips
Is music so timeless
Reaching to a fevered pitch.
To spiral up high,
In heady weightlessness,
We clutch; we conquer.
Soaring in euphoria,
Swaying to a soundless song:
We love.
A promise made tonight
To an instance of forever,
In the reality of day,
Of life,
Is merely a memory mocked.
In love,
In war,
We have crosses we must bear--
--Apart.
In human mistakes and sacrifices,
In eternity experienced and rejected,
And looking back to moments gone,
We loved.

A/N: On the vague chance that someone would recognize these same words in a 1x2 gundam wing poem posted ages ago somewhere, let me assure you that I'm the same author, and I'm proudly plagiarizing my own work. I altered it in a few places to indulge my Snarry urge for today, and I find that I like it much better this way.
Constructive comments and criticism are welcome. I know I'm far from poetic.
