Chapter 01
I never really understood love to begin with, always trying to supress it, trying to kid myself into thinking that I was above loving any guy, but in truth, I longed for it more than anything else. I was a first year high schooler at Odaiba High School, attending the summer camp the school held before every new summer term. I was a first year who hadn't experienced anything real until entering into high school. That was when all things that made no sense brought up a new meaning, and all things that did make sense lost meaning.
"Mimi-chan, did you get your rooming assignment yet?" an orange-haired girl called out to a dazing first-year. "I thought I'd be rooming with you, but ended up having to share with someone else in my year. Didn't we send a request so that our rooms could be together?"
"I think so. Unless I might have signed my name in the wrong line." Mimi looked up, resting her head upon the tree trunk, "It's okay if we're not sharing the same room. I'm sure this summer trip won't be any different if I were roomed with anyone else."
Giving off a smile, she rested her head off to the side. 'The bus ride here was too long..'
"Sora-chan~! You aren't doing anything yuri, right?" a voice called out to them, with an athletic-looking second-year making his way to the two. Seeing the shocked look upon the his girlfriend's face, he sighed at the incorrect assumption and passed a glance at the chestnut-haired girl lazily resting upon the tree. "Ahh, Mimi. You're here? Housing assignments are interesting this summer. You might be in for a shock, as well."
"Huh?" Mimi's attention was caught by his words and her eyes caught a glimpse of his expression as he switched his eyes from her to Sora.
Taichi held our his hand to Sora and the two held hands, leaving Mimi by herself. The two waved good-bye saying that they'd see her again later. "Taichi, what's the secret?"
"Hmm.. I wonder." Mimi thought to herself as she walked down the hill to take a visit at the class head housing to request her housing assignment. Her card was one of the last few left on the board, and taking it down, she remembered that she didn't check for her room when they arrived at their camp. (She had gone to Sora's room and left her things there.) Walking through the different housing settlements all by herself, she found awkward as she searched through, looking for her own. On the farther side of the campsite was where her room was supposed to be, atop a hill overlooking most of the other housing complexes and the lake. 'I haven't seen anyone else that I knew here.'
The door to her assigned room was unlocked and she entered the empty room. With a slight thud, in a split second, the light flooding into the room was overshadowed by something falling as the girl found herself pinned to the floor as she slowly gained consciousness. She felt a heavy body upon her and saw that locks of golden blonde were scrawled upon her chest. "What.."
The body on top of her twitched and moved as the locks of blonde rose above her eyes. She felt a slight pain in her head from the fall and found herself gazing into a pair of deep blue eyes. A daze still remained as the two slowly took notice of the position they were in and the person that fell her quickly moved off of her with a flush in his cheeks. Tachikawa rolled to her side and brought herself to stand, unable to look him in the eyes. "G-gomen nasai."
"T-Tachikawa.." the boy began. "Ehh.. What are you doing here?"
"Nani? This is my room for the summer camp! I don't know what you're doing in here, falling on people like that. If I had gone unconscious, what would've happened? If I'd been hurt? What if you had done something?!" she gasped at the thought and clutched her upper left arm with her right hand, resting her head on the door frame. 'Yamato-kun.. Eh? W-Why is my heart racing?'
Yamato sat himself on the lower bed of the bunk bed and looked at the wall before him. "This is your room, too?"
'Too?' Mimi turned toward him. "Who else is living in this room?"
'I thought you'd already get the idea.' he turned toward the window, trying to hide his flushed face as he recalled looking down upon her unconscious face, her scattered hair, and noting her quieted breathing. "This is my room for the summer."
"NANI?!" Mimi's jaw dropped after hearing those words. "I-I.. never thought that we'd have to share rooms!" Her hand hit the wall after her brief display of animation through her hand movements, causing a pain to shoot through her arm. Taking the injured hand into her other one, she attempted to suppress the pain as the smarting caused tears to form in her eyes. "Itai.."
Yamato took a stand and tapped her on the shoulder. As she turned around, he took her hand into his and turned her's over. She trembled at his efforts and clenched her hand shut as he examined it. "You should be fine. Go talk to the doctor to see if it might swell up or whatever."
Letting go of her hand, he returned to the lower bunk and lay down, taking out a magazine with his band on the cover. Mimi bowed, letting her chestnut locks fall before her eyes. "Arigatou, Yamato-kun."
"N." he responded, not taking his attention from the magazine. Mimi turned for the door to head for the doctor's to get her hand examined. A slight breeze blew her hair back as she closed the door behind her, leaving the lone Yamato on his bed as he watched her depart.

A/N: Hope you enjoyed this first chapter. ^^v A couple more to go, but I'm hoping that I won't end up writing about all of their summer expereince. :P That would be sooo long. XD We'll see how things go in this fic. I'd like to read your thoughts on this. Any ideas on how this should end up?
