The next day at breakfast everyone was talking about the Death Eaters – there had been a new attack during the night. The Death Eaters had attacked a muggle railway station and hundreds of muggles were killed. Some of the students had lost friends or relatives during the attack and quite many of them were crying or at least had been. The atmosphere was quite depressing so James decided to take a flight with his brand new broom before the lessons. He went back to his dormitory to take the coat and broom. After about ten minutes he was outside and on his broom. He rose several feet before stopping the broom. He looked around and turned his broom to the lake. He flew for some more minutes but decided to go back inside as the lessons were about to start. He reached the dormitory, put his broom away and was about to leave when he suddenly saw an envelope on his bed. Now that was strange. James took it and unfolded the letter inside.

"Dear James!

I actually think I'm crazy. I mean, I am writing letters to myself! And the strangest thing is – the letters have gone missing! You probably haven't found them or you would have told the entire school already. I keep asking myself why I still love you. Why? There is no visible reason. I mean, there are lots of boys at the Hogwarts. I'm sure at least one of them would agree to go out with me. But no, I have to love you, the one I can never get. Love is blind, it truly is. And the saddest thing is that I have no one I can talk to about it. The girls in my dormitory...we get on well, yeah, and they are great to study together or joke around, things like that. But I can't trust them enough to tell them about my secret. You probably can't understand me because as long as I remember you have always been best friends with Sirius, Remus and Peter, especially Sirius. You two must tell everything to each other. Then again, do boys even talk about things like that? You know, feelings and all that stuff. Probably not. I mean, I can't imagine you and Sirius talking seriously about something. Are you two ever serious? Oh, I must go now, the other girls are waking up. I don't want them to see me writing a letter, which would lead to awkward questions. So, bye for now!

Love,"

James raised his head as the door opened and another boy peeked inside. "Come on now, we have Charms to catch!" he said. "Coming," James answered, pocketing the letter. "What's that?" the other boy asked interestedly. "None of your business, Padfoot!" he said and grinned at him. They left the room together.

A/N: So, how was it? Please give me some ideas for future letters so I could update faster. I have sort of run out of ideas.

P.S.: Sorry for the short chapters, as I said, I've run out of ideas.
