"The Poetry Book of Buffy Summers"
Disclaimer: I don't own anything. It all belongs to the infamous Joss Whedon [ that bloody genius ].
About this poem: Buffy writes about when she was with Angel.
*
He asked me to meet him.
What could I say?
I said yes, of course.
And I saw him during the light of day.
_
I remember...
When my heart would go a-flutter
When he would pass by
And his broad shoulders would shudder.
_
Dawn's asleep as I write this.
And this comes from the depths of *my* heart,
Not his cold, dead one,
For I hope that I can begin live over, a fresh start.
_
Bedtime must come.
As I yawn my daily troubles away.
Hoping that my broken heart,
Won't lead me astray.
