Chapter 5: Seiya Returns to Kinmoku

"Seiya, what are you doing?!" Taiki looked around the chaos that was Seiya's room. Clothes were tossed around everywhere in disorder and in the middle of the mess was Seiya trying to close his suitcase that lay on his bed.

"Leaving and for how long, I don't know," Seiya said, finally closing the suitcase shut after a struggle.

"And why are you leaving?" Taiki asked, looking at him.

"Because I need to," Seiya said simply. He had to leave to get Haruka out of his mind and to realize that even if he did have any feelings for her, she wasn't his type.

"Because you need to? Why do you suddenly feel the need to pack up and leave?" Taiki demaned.

"I don't have to justifiy myself to you!" Seiya snapped at him. Taiki took a step back in surprise, unable to respond.

Michiru watched Haruka closly during the senshi meeting at Raye's temple. Usagi and Raye, as usual, where involved in an arguement over something with Luna occasionally putting in a comment, Minako and Artemis were fighting over something, Ami was reading and Makota stared out the window, daydreaming. The three Starlights had not shown up at all which was odd since everyone knew that Seiya never missed a chance to be with Usagi. That left Mamoru, Michiru, and Hotaru looking at each other, not wanting to get in the middle of Usagi and Raye or Artemis and Minako. Setsuna's face was blank and she merely sat there, watching them all without reacting. Haruka looked lost in thought, not paying attention to anyone else. These was unusual for her, Michiru knew, since she was often in the middle of Raye and Usagi's fights or fighting with all three of the Starlights at once.

"Sorry we're late," Taiki said as he and Yaten came in.

"Where's Seiya?" Artemis asked, looking around. Haruka looked up at his comment, realizing Seiya not with the other two Starlights.

"He's spending some time on Kinmoku," Yaten explained. He noticed that Haruka didn't even react, her eyes closed and cold.

Haruka ignored that rest of the meeting, her mind distanced. She couldn't logically find a reason that she would miss him but she did nevertheless. But she didn't fall in love and she wouldn't , especially with Seiya. Perhaps it was for the best that he had left, it allowed her to find that she didn't miss him and that she didn't have any feelings toward him at all, or at least she hoped so.
