Chapter 12: That Night
Yaten cursed to himself as he walked down the street. It was obvious that Yaten Kou was not in a lovely mood at the moment. The clouds had cleared and it was sunny despite it being late, much to his distress. He hated to sweat- it ruined his hair and made him uncomfortable. He cursed Seiya for taking the car. He cursed Taiki for leaving and not taking him along. But most of all, he cursed Haruka for being the reason why Seiya had taken the car and left him to walk home. Life was cruel to him.
Usagi was very worried about Mamoru. There was nothing physically wrong with him that the doctor was able to find so now she was thinking the Mamoru was losing it.
"A new enemy, Luna?" she sat on her bed, looking up at the night sky. Luna lay curled up beside her, partly asleep.
"I don't know, Usagi. What would an enemy benefit from making Mamoru believe he saw Haruka and Seiya together?" Luna pointed out. Luna had sinking suspicion that it was not a new enemy that faced them but Mamoru merely having the unfortunate luck to stumble upon something that he shouldn't have seen.
"Usagi, I think this is something that you shouldn't mention to anyone for the moment," Luna said seriously. Usagi looked surprised but nodded in agreement.
"But I said something to Yaten and Taiki earlier because I thought they would find it funny but they didn't," Usagi smiled. Luna sighed to herself, knowing Usagi couldn't keep her mouth shut most of the time, especially around a buffet or Mamoru.
Luna knew she had to find out what was going on. She didn't want to think of how the outer senshi would react to this.
They ended up in Seiya's bedroom before he realized what he was doing.
"Are you sure that we aren't taking it too fast?" Seiya asked, his hand hesitating on her shirt buttons.
"Positive," Haruka said, also taken by surprise that things had gone so far. She hadn't thought she would have fallen for Seiya of all people so fast since it had been so long since she last dated.
It was a long interesting night for both of them.
