Chapter 17: Hurt
Haruka couldn't believe how stupid she had been. She had somehow thought that Seiya wouldn't hurt her but apparently she had been wrong.
It had been foolish to let herself fall for Seiya, foolish to trust him. She vowed that she wouldn't make the same mistake again.
It was a clear night and the stars shone brightly. Seiya walked along a path that went next to a large lake that reflected the strong light of the moon. He had to get out of the house, away from his brothers, especially Yaten.
He was confused; he had not even seen or spoken to Haruka in several days. His calls went un-returned and she wouldn't see him.
A wind blew a few strands of his long dark hair into his face as he brushed them out of the way, he noticed Sailor Neptune, Pluto, and Saturn standing before him. There was no mistaking the fury in their eyes, the way Saturn gripped her Glaive.
"You spineless coward!" Saturn suddenly said quietly but he didn't miss the edge in her tone.
"What are you talking about?" Seiya asked, taking a step back.
"Of course you don't. Nothing mattered to you, did it?" Neptune snapped, glaring at him.
"I don't understand-"Seiya said quickly, looking around for a way out.
"If you go near her again, you will suffer more than you thought possible," Pluto promised, looking deep into his eyes. Before he could say anything, they vanished, leaving him standing there, dazed.
Yaten watched the first part of his plan fall into place. The outer senshi unknowenly helped him in threatening Seiya but he considered that an extra bonus.
Now it was time to bring it to a close, he thought as he picked up the phone.
