Chapter 18: Misunderstanding

"You look depressed," Yaten poked Seiya, who had been sitting at the window all day without moving, simply staring outside.
"It's over," he said flatly, not turning to look at Yaten. Yaten regretted that Seiya was getting hurt but it was for the best. He knew Haruka would have hurt him worse in the end.
"Well, you know what she was like. I told you not to get involved but you didn't listen to me," Yaten sighed. "But Minako is coming over to cheer you up," he said.
"I don't want to be cheered up," Seiya muttered, going back to staring out the window.
"Come on, don't be rude!" Yaten scolded as there was a knock on the door. A few moments later, a bright and cheerful Minako flounced in.
"Oh, Seiya, you look so down. Let's go out and get you outside in the sunshine," Minako dragged him out of his chair, ignoring his protests.
All that afternoon, Minako took him around the mall and they ended up at a small restaurant for lunch. They hadn't noticed Yaten following them.
Yaten followed them up to the restaurant and then went off to get the last part of his plan into place.

"I'm....surprised at your concern, Yaten but my relationship with Seiya is over for good," Haruka said as she and Yaten walked down the street. She hadn't expected to find Yaten so concerned about this.
"Taiki and I are very disappointed by Seiya's behavior," Yaten said seriously. "What he did to you was wrong," he said. Haruka certainly hadn't thought Yaten to be considerate of others beside himself as they walked down the street towards the restaurant where Minako and Seiya were.
"Don't look," Yaten said as they walked by but of course, as Yaten knew she would, Haruka glanced in the window and her heart seemed to shatter, seeing Minako with Seiya.
"Simply horrible," Yaten remarked, not daring to look at Haruka. Haruka merely turned on her heel and walked off, her eyes cold and hard with anger.
Yaten was relieved; his plan had fallen into place perfectly.
