Chapter 23:Revenge- Artemis Has Some Fun

It hit Artemis like a ton of bricks. He stopped on the sidewalk, stunned by this sudden inspiration. It was rare for him to have a good idea, even rarer for him to have a good idea that might work. Mostly it was Luna who did the brain work.
"Artemis?' Luna stopped, turning to face him.
"It's perfect....I know what we should do to Yaten," he said, grinning
"Oh no..." Luna muttered, fearing the next words out of his mouth.
"Oh yes. We let Minako handle it for us," Artemis smiled- it seemed to Luna a somewhat evil smile but she had to admit that for once, Artemis had come up with something that might work.

Later that afternoon a very angry Minako stormed down the street looking for a certain short Starlight. Artemis and Luna had told her only that Yaten had set her up with Seiya as a part of a cruel joke on someone. That's all it took to get Minako enraged. She despised those who purposefully went out of their way to be nasty to others and Yaten had always annoyed her.
She almost was pounding on the door and nearly hit Taiki when he answered. Without a word to him, she strode in the house, finding Yaten in the living room watching TV.
"You bastard!" she flew at him, catching him off-guard.
"Minako! What a surprise," he said, choking somewhat in Minako's grasp.
"I can't believe it! You have some real problems, Yaten Kou!" she said, ready to slap him. But she paused, thinking. She let him go and left, returning with a pair of scissors. Yaten jumped up, backing away from her, one hand on his hair.
"Minako, you don't understand. It was for Seiya's own good," he insisted.
"Oh, so that was it? All to hurt YOUR OWN BROTHER?" she lunged forward, getting hold of fistful of light hair.
"OWWW!!!!" Yaten whined loudly. Taiki watched the whole conflict unnoticed, not moving. He knew Yaten had it coming and he wasn't about to get involved, especially with Minako holding those scissors. In one motion, Yaten's hair became a few inches shorter, light hair covering the carpet.
"That should teach you not to play games with people, especially your own family," she said, throwing down the scissors. She left, slamming the door behind her.
Yaten stood there for a long moment, shocked. He couldn't believe that the sailor senshi of love and beauty had just dared to shear his beautiful hair and spoil his plans. He assumed Haruka and Seiya would be very displeased at him- his only choice was to return to Kinmoku for a while and hope Princess Kakyu was unaware of the events, he hoped as he ran upstairs. He had only wanted to help Seiya, this was not what he thought would happen.
