Chapter 25: Confession
Haruka looked at the ring in her hand, speechless for a moment.
"Seiya, I- there is something I have to tell you," she said slowly, looking down at her hands. There was nothing she hated more than confessions (other then Yaten). Seiya waited for her to continue silently. "I know I should have told you earlier but I never got the chance. I'm pregnant," she said, bracing herself for his reaction.
He sat there for a minute, her words sinking in. "Haruka, that is wonderful," he said, taking her hands. Haruka let out her breath, relieved. She had been afraid of Seiya's reaction but he carefully put his arms around her, holding her.
"And another thing, I'll marry you," she said, leaning against him as the sun rose in the morning sky.
A few days later Princess Kakyu received news of Seiya's engagement. She was happy for him, having finally found someone. She had been worried when he had been hurt with Usagi and her being already engaged to Mamoru.
She glanced out at the night sky, musing the strange ways in which the universe worked sometimes.
