Chapter 27: Aurora's Comment
It had been tough next few months but somehow, Haruka survived. She now held her daughter, eventually named Aurora after much debate between her and Seiya. She had Seiya's clear blue eyes and her light blond hair.
Princess Kakyu adored Aurora and often visited, along with the inner senshi, Usagi, and the lunar cats, to see her.
As Aurora grew older, it became apparent that she had inherited her mother's personality as well. At a senshi meeting, Aurora had looked right at Usagi and clearly said, "Meatballhead."
There had been an absolute silence, everyone staring at her. Aurora only smiled, leaning against Haruka, who stared down at her daughter in shock. Next to her, Seiya hid a small smile, proud of his daughter. Usagi looked embarrassed, her face bright red. Mamoru had to turn away to hid his laugher, as did Luna, Artemis, Ami, Raye, and the rest of the outer senshi. Taiki thought that Aurora must be very observant or had been learning very well from her parents.
"Smart girl," Makoto remarked, grinning, and Minako suddenly burst out laughing loudly, unable to help it. Usagi managed to turn a brighter red.
"I...AM...NOT....A...MEATBALLHEAD!!" Usagi whined loudly.
"Usagi...." Luna said slowly, trying to control her laughter but was fighting a losing battle. Usagi glared at the cat, still an interesting shade of red and orange.
"I think Aurora has summarized what I, and others, have been trying to tell you for years," Raye pointed out.
"Shut up," Usagi muttered but she couldn't help smiling herself. Haruka looked down at her daughter who now was interested in Artemis's tail, much to that cat's distress, ignoring what was going on around her. She smiled as Artemis squawked as Aurora managed to catch his tail in her hands, thinking of what her daughter was going to be like in the future.
