Chapter 30: That Talk....
It was that age that gave all parents headaches- 16. Haruka and Seiya had plenty of headaches by the time Aurora was 16 and now they faced what they had dreaded doing for a long time.
They both knew that someday they would have to explain certain things to her and now they could not put it off any longer.
"Seiya, I cannot do it," Haruka said, looking nervous. This made fighting Mistress 9 and Sailor Galaxia seem easy.
"We can always let Setsuna handle it..." Seiya looked at her.
"No. I just don't know what to say," Haruka groaned, at a loss.
"We will figure it out.," Seiya assured her but he too was uncertain of what to say to his daughter.
Aurora knew something was going on when her parents asked her to sit down for a 'talk,' which meant a lecture was coming.
"Aurora, there is something that we need to talk to you about," Seiya started slowly. "It may seem like a lot to handle at once but it's important," Haruka said, taking a deep breath. "About a thousand years ago, there was a civilization called the Moon Kingdom ruled over by Queen Serenity and her daughter Princess Serenity. The kingdom was protected by nine warriors, sailor senshi, from each of the planets. However, the Moon was attacked and the Queen, the Princess along with her consort Prince Endymion of Earth were killed, along with all the senshi," she went on, trying remember everything that Setsuna had told her. Aurora stared at her with wide eyes. She had always known her parents were...different but nothing like this. "Anyway, Princess Serenity, Prince Endymion, and the sailor scouts were reborn in this world along with two of the Queen's advisors, Luna and Artemis," Seiya explained. "You're kidding, right?' Aurora looked at them, hoping this was some joke. She knew Usagi, a close friend of her parents, had a black cat named Luna and Minako, another friend of theirs, had a cat named Artemis. This was all.. weird for her.
"No. I am the sailor senshi of Uranus. You know the other sailor scouts- Ami is Sailor Mercury, Raye is Mars, Minako is Venus, Makoto is Jupiter, Setsuna is Pluto, Michiru is Neptune and Hotaru is Saturn," Haruka said seriously, her transformation crystal appearing in her hand.
"Usagi is Princess Serenity, Sailor Moon and her fiancé is Endymion, Tuxedo Mask," Seiya added.
"This has to be some kind of bad dream..." she said, shaking her head. She had seem the Sailor Moon and Sailor V TV shows and seen pictures of the senshi in the paper but she could not believe that her mother was one of them.
"It's not, trust me. It may seemed far fetched but it's all very real," Haruka said sadly, the Space Sword appearing in her hands for a moment.
"Now, if that isn't enough to deal with at once, it gets better. I am a sailor senshi as well however I'm from another planet outside this solar system called Kinmoku, which is ruled by Princess Kakyu," Seiya explained and Aurora sighed. She had hoped at least one of her parents was 'normal.'
"Does this mean that I'll be a sailor senshi as well?" she asked. She knew that if everything her parents had told her was true, she had no chance at a 'normal' life.
"Yes, I'm afraid so. I know that this a lot to get at one time but it was important that you knew," Haruka said. She didn't like to think about the fact that Aurora would be a sailor senshi someday but she knew that was something that she couldn't change.
