*Lunch time* "Ne Kao-chan, why are you so quiet today? You look really red," said Misao looking at Kaoru curiously and at the same time worriedly with her big, green eyes. "Iie Mi-chan, daijobu. I just feel....tired," replied Kaoru. "I think it's cos of the new boy today, ohohohoohohoho!!! Finally our dear Kao- chan has a crush! Ohohohohoohoho!!!" Said the foxy girl who popped out from nowhere.
Kaoru's face turned a brilliant scarlet and she hid her red face behind her bangs. She lined up with the other kids and her friends in the line to get their 'glorious lunch'. After that, they quickly looked for a good seat and found one that was good enough before quickly taking it.
Aoshi, Kenshin and Sano got their lunch and looked all around the place for a table. (A/N Yes minna, Sano offered to be Kenshin's buddy and of course the poor icicle had to agree.......Finally that icicle "Che, they're all taken. Oh lord, what did I do wrong kami-sama?" Said Sano looking up begging for mercy (to god). "You did lots of bad things actually," replied the icicle who replied in his usual cold, unemotional tone. "Che, you're always against me," grumbled Sano. Aoshi gave a rare smirk and Kenshin sweat dropped at the 2 fighting. 'Both of them argue a lot I'm sure. Aoshi's very sarcastic for an icicle like him,' thought Kenshin.
"Hey rooster-head, icicle! Here!" Called Kaoru from her table and turned pink as soon as she saw Kenshin. The trio came over and sat opposite them; the fox was facing the rooster head, the weasel was facing the icicle and the raccoon was facing the oro-chan. "Hi Aoshi-sama! How are things going?" Asked the hyper-active girl. "Fine. And you, Misao-chan?" Replied the icicle, who seemed to be acting a bit.....soft to her. Whenever he talked to her, he would soften at her.
While Misao continued to blabber on with Aoshi nodding his head or saying "Aah," every so often, Megumi and Sano were whispering to each other. "Look at the way they're looking at each other fox. They're in love.......awwwwwwww" whispered Sano a bit too loudly which Kenshin almost heard. Megumi whacked him on the head and then Sano glared at her and whispered angrily "What was that for!?" "That was for whispering too loudly! Ken-san almost heard it, you stupid rooster! Like I was saying earlier, we should try to get them together," replied Megumi.
"But they only just met and – Oh yeah, there is such thing as love at first sight, hee hee....forgotten," whispered Sano with his usual lazy grin. The two bickered and of course, they said it in whispers. As for Kenshin and Kaoru, they exchanged glance once in a while and blushed before turning away. Kenshin started off the conversation by saying "So um....You're Kamiya Kaoru right?" "Yup. You do kendo?" Said Kaoru, who was trying not to look into his gorgeous eyes.
Kenshin nodded and then Kaoru continued "Well, there's a kendo club over here and you can join it if you want to. I'm in it and so are a couple of other kids. Sano takes up kickboxing, Aoshi and Misao are training as ninjas and as for Megumi, she helps out at her grandfather's clinic to get some money cos she's saving it up to go to university and train as a doctor." "Ah I see. I'll join the kendo club. When's it?"
"It's on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. Since today is Tuesday, follow me after school to the kendo room," replied Kaoru who was as red as the colour as Kenshin's hair. 'She looks so cute when she blushes. She looks exactly the same only thing is that she's taller and has matured...Should I ask her about the train station? Nah, that'll be embarrassing......' thought Kenshin, who was also red.
