Kenshin stood by Kaoru's locker while waiting for her to get out of the library. Then suddenly out from nowhere, a certain rooster-head popped up behind Kenshin and said "Yo Kenshin! Wat 'ya doin' here? Oh I see you're waiting for jou-chan. You both going out?" A smirk was then pasted onto Sano's face at the end of the dialogue. Kenshin blushed a brilliant scarlet before saying "No, Kaoru and I are just friends that's all and we're gonna walk to the kendo room together – I'm gonna try out to be in the club."
"Che I know that. You like her don't you? I've seen you looking at her and you know, you two make a cute couple!" Replied Sano whose smirk widened at the thought of them being a couple. "ORO!? What makes you think that I like her?" said the red-head who dropped to the ground in anime style. "You think she's cute, right? I know you like her! Just admit it!" replied the rooster-head. "Well yeah, I think that's she's really cute especially when she blushes. She's not just cute – She's beautiful....And I don't like her!" Said Kenshin who was as red as the colour as his hair.
'Liar, you like her! Ever since you saw her at the sakura train station 4years ago, you thought about her everyday!' thought Kenshin. Kenshin was frowning to himself and of course that stupid rooster-head asked him what was wrong. "Iie Sano nothing's wrong. Daijobu," replied Kenshin with his 'rurouni smile'. So Sano kept on begging Kenshin to confess who he fancied. Kenshin finally gave in and told him everything that had happened in the sakura station 4 years ago. Sano smirked and then replied "I knew it! Oops! Jou-chan's here and anyway, I've gotta go for kick-boxing, ja!" And he quickly ran off.
Kaoru headed over to her locker to find the boy of her dreams waiting. She turned bright pink as soon as she saw him and then they headed over to the kendo room. Meanwhile, a certain rooster-head and a fox were busy discussing their plans in an empty classroom to get the two lovebirds together. "So fox, what did jou-chan say?" Asked Sano, who had a smirk pasted onto his face for the thousandth time that day. Megumi pulled his ear and replied "Don't call me fox, rooster-head! Anyways, I made Kaoru spill in the beans about her feelings for Kenshin. She likes him."
"Oh yeah, it was love at first sight for those two lovebirds. They first saw each other like 4 years ago at the sakura train station and awwww.......They stared deeply into each other's eyes!" Said Sano who was trying to exaggerate the information. "My my, so Ken-san is actually the guy Kao-chan daydreamt of all day! She told me that he visited her dreams every night and that she had feelings for him since! Finally she gets to meet him, ohohohohohohohohohohohohoho!!!" Megumi replied slyly as she gave her....er...traditional laugh with fox ears popping up.
The rooster-head sweat dropped before saying "He also thinks about her all the time and dreams about her every night! I'm telling you, Kenshin and jou-chan are destined to be together! Oh yeah, and I asked the weasel and the icicle to help us out on getting those two bakas together." "Good. Anyway I was going to ask you to ask them. Finally for once you did something smart," replied Megumi. Sano glared at her and the two of them bickered before proceeding with their plan.
*In the kendo room*
"Himura-san, you did and excellent job! Welcome to the kendo club, you're way better than all of us here! I've never heard of the Hiten Mitsrugi style, the one you use," Said Kazaki Kaza, captain of the kendo team. "Arigato, Kazaki-san," replied Kenshin with a bow before returning to the bench where Kaoru was.
While Kenshin and Kaoru were busy talking (A/N yes, they were both blushing and of course trying to look elsewhere instead of one another's beautiful orbs), a certain weasel and icicle were outside the kendo room spying on them with two pairs of binoculars, one for each of them.
"That stupid rooster-head actually made us skip our ninja training. Couldn't we just do it another day I mean we only have it on Tuesdays and Thursdays. And I'm pretty shocked that he actually wanted to skip kickboxing for once, he usually never skips it and I asked Hannya to take over for today, I hope he's doing his job and not heading over ot the mall with the gang," said Aoshi, who was just as expressionless as ever.
"Demo Aoshi-sama, you said that you wanted to set them up together, ne?" replied Misao who looked up at him. Aoshi's expressionless features softened at her and then he gave her a small smile before nodding his head. The two of them stared deeply into each other's orbs; ice-blue met emerald green. They moved closer till they closed the gap between them and just as their lips touched, Aoshi's cell phone rang.
Both of them quickly turned away and blushed (A/N Yes minna, Aoshi is actually blushing! Though he's expressionless still, he's red). Aoshi picked up his cell phone and of course how could we ever forget that it was none other than that rooster-head who planned out the whole thing....(A/N Read the conversation below)
Aoshi: Hello?
Sano: Yo icicle, wat did ya see? Did they kiss? Did they.......
Aoshi: No you rooster-head. They just blushed and tried to avoid each other's gaze incase
'something' happened. (A/N he emphasized the word 'something'. I mean kiss)
Sano: Oh. That's it?
Aoshi: Aah.
Sano: Che, ok meet us up here as soon as they go home ok? Ja.
And with that both of them turned off their cell phones. Aoshi and Misao continued to look through their own binoculars. "Ne Kenshin, do you think that Megumi and that stupid rooster-head like each other?" Asked Kaoru with a curious expression. 'She looks so cute like that,' thought Kenshin. "Oro? You mean Sano and Megumi? Of course they like each other I mean they're always arguing over little things and I've seen the way they look at each other," replied Kenshin.
"Hai, I've noticed that too. I think that they make a cute couple, don't you?" Said Kaoru who was thinking about them together. Kenshin nodded and from outside, Misao had overheard the whole thing. The weasel and as well as the icicle were smirking. (A/N Ok, In this story you'll find that Aoshi's sorta OOC - Out of character. So yes minna, once in a while he smirks and makes snide comments)
"Do you think we should try to get them together Kenshin?" Asked Kaoru who was smirking slightly. Kenshin dropped to the ground in anime style and oro-ed till Kaoru grew tired of it and chased him around the kendo room where everyone including the weasel and icicle from outside sweat dropped.
