"Oi busu! Why did ya come back so late? And what's up with the red face? Did Kenshin confess his love to you so you both are together?" Asked Yahiko with curiosity and at the same time when he brought up Kenshin's name, he began to smirk. He was right; Kaoru was as red as the colour of her beloved's hair. She still couldn't stop thinking about what had happened that day...
*Flashback (Half and hour after school was over for the day at 3:30pm)
"Kenshin I can walk by myself. You don't have to fuss over it I mean it's just a small matter," Kaoru assured her beloved oro-chan as he was concerned about her. (A/N Remember what had happened in the last chappie?) "Kaoru, you're not alright and you've got a really bad headache, so I'd better carry you home," replied Kenshin sternly. "But.." Before Kaoru could finish her sentence, he swept Kaoru off her feet and into his arms. "Oh alright, if you insist," said Kaoru before heaving a sigh.
Kenshin carried her into his arms and of course he carried both their bags on his left arm until they reached her house. "You can drop me off here," said Kaoru softly. "You sure?" asked Kenshin worriedly. "Hai, and arigato for carrying me home. I hope it wasn't too much of a hassle," said Kaoru whose cheeks were burning up while looking down at the ground and getting her bag from Kenshin. "It's alright and remember to go straight to sleep after this, got it?" replied Kenshin who was also red. They waved goodbye and thought about what had happened throughout the day................. *End of flashback*
*Back to the present*
"Busu you really are red! Wait! Kenshin asked you out? I knew there was something going on bet.." "Oh shut up Yahiko, what about you and Tsubame?" Snapped back Kaoru who was still red.
Yahiko's eyes widened and then he kept quiet. Before Kaoru could tease him even more, the doorbell suddenly rang. (A/N Minna, it's and AU ficcie remember so you know....) Kaoru opened the gates and she found Kenshin and Tsubame there. "Hi Kaoru sorry to disturb your nap. I was just on my way back home until I bumped into Tsubame and she asked me where you lived so I took her here. She said that she needs to tell Yahiko something," Said Kenshin with a smile.
"YAHIKO-CHAN! Tsubame wants to see you!" Yelled Kaoru from the gates. "STOP CALLING ME –CHAN, BUSU!" Yahiko yelled back before arriving at the ebtrance of the house. "Hi Kaoru-san, Yahiko-ch-I mean –kun. Remember about the project we have to discuss?" Said Tsubame who was as red as a tomato as soon as she saw Yahiko. "Yeah, follow me to my room and let's get started on it," replied Yahiko who was also red and the both of them headed over to his room.
"Come inside Kenshin," said Kaoru warmly. "I'd better not cos you've gotta rest and ..." "I'm fine just come in and anyway it's just a small headache." Kenshin couldn't resist her innocent eyes so he gave in. They both had some green tea and started talking about school, the gang and blah, blah, blah..... Then they cracked up laughing about Sano...
Oh yeah and when we went camping last year, he picked up a leech and said 'what's this? Hey icicle, is this your slime, you know the black one you said was missing?' Then Aoshi was like 'No you rooster-head, it's not mine cos Kaoru already found it and besides, that's no slime – That's a leech.'
And then Sano blinked and then said 'What's a leech?' Megumi hit her forehead and then said 'You baka rooster! A leech is this really dangerous creature that could get you infected and plus it'll sting!' Sano then said 'Really? Hmmm....this little fella doesn't seem dangerous.....che what can a little thing like this do?' He then petted it and.....hahahahaha!!!" Said Kaoru who was rolling on the ground in laughter along with Kenshin.
"Gee no wonder Aoshi kept on telling me that he's a big moron so I'd better watch out or else I'd become him.....But a week later, he said that I was lucky that I didn't turn into him, go on...." Replied Kenshin who was still laughing. "And then Aoshi told me 'Just wait and see Kaoru, Misao's got her camera and I've got my video camera here so we can watch it later.' And then I was like 'That's good Aoshi, and by the way, could make another copy for me?' He then said it was ok, I've got it with me so we can watch it later but anyway back to the point.
Sano then felt something stinging him and then he was running around the place like a moron and he kept on spilling his so-called 'beloved sake' he was reserving for himself and Aoshi since they were having a drinking contest all over the thing, but of course it didn't work! And then Aoshi found a lit cigar on a rock an then he quickly stopped Sano and rubbed the cigar onto the leech and then it dropped off.....poor Sano!" Said Kaoru who was still laughing loudly along with Kenshin.
They then watched the video on what had happened during their summer camp. And they of course watched the 'leech incident' about 10 times with Aoshi being the host and he even made some snide comments about Sano and even said a couple of his most embarrassing moments! They cracked up laughing throughout the whole show......
