Never Forget
Dear Mommy,
Daddy took me to work yesterday for take your child to work day. I had so much fun being around the people you loved. When I grow up I want to be the bestest CSI in the entire world just like you.... and daddy of course. I miss you so much mommy but I know I'll see you soon.
I have to go now mommy because daddy says were coming to visit you, isn't that great.

As Gil watched his daughter place the letter down next to his wife he couldn't hold back the tears that he had held in for so long. Lindsey was beginning to remind him of Catherine so much more nowadays, which was a relief as he knew then that she would be okay in her life.
Kneeling down on the ground he whispered quietly 'I love you Cath', before retreating to the car knowing that Linds probably needed some time alone.
After a few moments collecting her thoughts she said 'Don't worry mommy I'll take care of him, I know you wouldn't want to see him sad. And remember mommy we'll never forget you, never. I love you mom.'
'Lindsey, honey, come on it's getting cold' Gil shouted from the Tahoe.
Wiping away the tears that were falling down her face she got in the car. As they were driving away she looked back at her mother's headstone that had stood there for one year that day and vowed to keep her memory alive. Forever.
