"So you're saying that we should get someone to capture Kaoru and then Kenshin will save her eh?" Said Sano lazily while lying on the couch of the living room. "Yeah, besides I think that it might bring them together," commented Misao while trying to grab a sashimi roll both Sano and her were obsessed about since they always fought over it. Sano quickly snatched away the sashimi roll, "Oi weasel, that's mine cos it's on MY plate."
Misao's eyebrow twitched "Hey, I thought that you weren't gonna eat it rooster-head and anyway, I only had one sashimi roll out of the 34 sashimi rolls we bought!" The two of them bickered as usual with Megumi sweat dropping and Aoshi still being an icicle, "I'll kill that rooster- head later for getting on my girlfriend's nerves, anyway back to the point. I'll ask the Oniwabanshu to help with our plan."
"Yeah it would actually be much better if the kidnapper was someone we don't really know. Kaoru only knows Hannya while Kenshin doesn't know any of them right?" The fox replied while painting her nails. "Ha! I ate it!" Squealed Misao while the rooster-head glared at her, "Che, I was only going easy on you." Misao smirked, "Yeah right, as if you were going easy on me you rooster."
Sano then muttered a couple of curses before suggesting "Maybe I could get Katsu to help also." The weasel and fox dropped to the ground in anime style. As for the icicle well he was just as expressionless as ever, "I don't think we should involve him in the plan cos the last time we did he ruined it." Sano tried defending him, "Yeah but at least he helped us – Except for the part where he messed up."
Misao glared at Sano, "Yeah, he ended up exploding the whole office when we were only supposed to blow up the principal's office and then we got caught and we had detention for a month." Sano sweat dropped and smiled uneasily before keeping his mouth shut. Megumi glanced at Sano before saying "Anyway back to the point. So we'll get one of the members of the Oniwabanshu to capture Kaoru while both of them are walking home, and of course Kenshin will you know try to save her or something."
"I don't think that'll work Megumi-chan. I mean Kenshin is really fast at running so you know......." Commented Misao while hugging Aoshi from behind. "Hmmmmm.....then what should we do.....aha! I've got it!" Exclaimed the rooster so the group then discussed their plan......
*The next day after school*
Kaoru was by her locker with Kenshin waiting for her since they were walking home together, like always. Kenshin sweat dropped at the thought of his 4 other friends who seemed quite different that day. Megumi kept on giving out her traditional laugh, Aoshi smirked once in a while, Sano sniggered once in a while and Misao kept on causing Kenshin and Kaoru to bump into each other.
"Hey Kaoru, have you noticed that the 4 of them have been acting a bit.....weirder than usual?" Kaoru looked into his violet orbs, "Hai I've noticed it too Kenshin. Something's up with them, you think that we should ask them?" Kenshin frowned a little, "They've gone home already. Sano and Megumi said that they needed to finish off their Science project." "What about Aoshi and Misao?" "They said that they wanted to practice their ninja training thingy with the group cos of some bad guy going around the place."
Kaoru's eyes widened in shock, "Who is it?" "Oh, I don't really know. Some guy called Kurogasa or something like that is going around but maybe they're just lying cos remember rumors are always going around so it can't be true," replied Kenshin. Kaoru let out a sigh of relief before closing the door of her locker. "Why, what's wrong Kaoru?" Asked Kenshin worriedly. Kaoru's bangs covered her eyes before replying "Oh nothing's wrong at all."
"C'mon Kaoru, just tell me what it is, I promise I won't tell anyone," Begged Kenshin. Since Kaoru couldn't say 'no' to those beautiful eyes of his, she answered his question, "Kurogasa formally known as Udo Jineh murdered my parents right in front of my eyes." A tear then rolled down her cheek and she tried to hold back her sobs, but failed to. Kenshin pulled her into a warm embrace with his arm around her waist and said softly, "Cry it all out so the pain will go away. I'll always be there for you Kaoru no matter what."
She sobbed quietly with Kenshin soothing her with gentle words. They stayed there which seemed like eternity though it was only for about 10 minutes. A really tiny camera was placed onto Kaoru's locker and of course a certain fox, rooster and er.....the rooster's friend was spying on the two lovebirds from their classroom. "Awww.....Look at them, they make such a cute couple right?" Commented Katsu with a smirk pasted on his face.
"Yeah but too bad they won't confess their feelings towards one another in front of each other's faces. That's why we're trying to get jou-chan and Kenshin together," replied Sano lazily while trying to get a close up of the two of them. While the other two were busy sniggering at the two lovebirds, Megumi seemed pretty worried, "Rooster-head and Katsu, nobody will know about what we're doing right? Cos I don't want the both of them to find out either wise our plan will be ruined – Like the last time."
Megumi then shot a glare at Katsu who laughed uneasily, "Hee hee, calm down Megumi. It was an accident anywayz.......er....." He then kept his mouth shut. "Hmph, whatever you say," huffed Megumi while flipping her waist length hair over her shoulder. "Aw c'mon fox, just forgive him, he's gonna get it right this time," begged Sano with his famous puppy-eyed look.
Megumi heaved a sigh, "Alright I'll forgive him – But if the plan fails, then I'll poison you both with one of the new potions I've created, ohohohohohoho!" Both Sano and Katsu sweat dropped at her traditional laugh, "Megumi I promise you that nothing will go wrong this time. You have my word and Sano is right, I'll do it right this time." "I hope so," replied Megumi while smirking at the two lovebirds.
*On their way home*
Kenshin had his arm around Kaoru's shoulder and she was still sobbing, but not as much as before. 'It feels so wonderful having MY Kaoru in my arms – Hey where did that come from? She's not mine, we're only good friends, nothing more than that, although I wish that we could be more than that...'thought Kenshin. Kaoru looked up at him curiously and at the same time worriedly with her sapphire orbs, "Ne Kenshin, you seem really spaced out, are you alright?"
"Oro?" Kenshin exclaimed before blinking, "Iie Kaoru nothing's wrong, daijobu." Kaoru twitched her eyebrow before glaring at him, "Kenshin no baka, if you don't tell me what's the matter, I'm gonna punch ya!" "Oro! Honto ne Kaoru, daijobu! Oro!" Exclaimed Kenshin as Kaoru punched him on the cheek. She then strangled him, "KENSHIN NO BAKA! TELL ME OR ELSE I'LL....." "OROOOOOOO!!!!ORORORORORORORORO!!!!" And then Kaoru let go off the poor guy who was severely knocked out, who quickly regained consciousness.
'At least she's not thinking about the pain, I'm glad that she's not thinking about it anymore cos I can't bear seeing my angel suffering – Aah! Not again, Kenshin no baka!' Thought Kenshin while gaining consciousness. "Oh I was just thinking about our Science project, you know the one about dissecting animals?" Kenshin replied. Kaoru's face turned green before muttering, "Don't remind me about that." Kenshin then chuckled softly right before receiving a new bruise on his left cheek from Kaoru, "Kenshin no baka!"
He got up again and then put his arm around Kaoru again before continuing on their journey back home. Kaoru then blushed at his action before laying her head on his shoulder, 'Aah, it feels so nice being like this...I wonder does he like me? Nah it couldn't be though I wish that it could.....we're only good friends nothing more than that. I don't wanna ruin our friendship by telling him how I feel...*sigh*....at least we're friends...'
"Hannya, look at them," whispered Beshimi from the bushes. Though Hannya was wearing a mask, you could sense his smirk, "So our Okashira and Misao are right about this – They really do like each other, actually make that love." Beshimi nodded his head and then said "Ok, first we'll..." But was cut off by a something or rather someone who quickly grabbed Kaoru. "Hey, I thought that you were supposed to capture her, right?" Asked Hannya. "Yeah, I was supposed to and – Oh no! It's him! It's Kurogasa, so Misao was right about being careful of him cos he's back!"
"Battousai, if you wanna get your girl back, meet me by the Kagari forest tonight! Mwahahahahaha!!!" Cackled Kurogasa.
Kaoru tried to escape his grasp but failed to as he quickly ran off, "Kenshin!" "Kenshin tried running after her, but the mysterious kidnapper had already disappeared. "DAMN YOU JINEH!"
