Kenshin awoke noticing that he wasn't in his bedroom, 'Where am I?' He then remembered what had happened the night before and tried to get up until he saw a sleeping form lying on him and remembered what had happened as soon as they came back. (A/N Not that way all you hentais! *Glares at everyone*)
*The night before*
Kenshin leaned against the rice wall in Kaoru's bedroom and was about to fall asleep when suddenly; Kaoru came up to him and said, "I can't stop thinking about that night when my parents were being slaughtered by Jin eh. I miss them a lot." "Why not you sleep here by me," replied Kenshin calmly. Kaoru then laid herself on Kenshin's lap and they fell asleep in each other's company...(A/N Ha! Its rated G for all you hentais out there!!!)............................. *End of flashback*
*Back to the present*
Kenshin smiled while he stared at her delicate features; Her waist length raven hair was let down from it's usual high pony tail and she looked just like an angel when she was asleep. He wanted to kiss her again so badly but he fought the urge to do so, but failed. He then kissed her lightly on the lips and then suddenly, Kaoru awoke so Kenshin shut his eyes to pretend that he was asleep.
Kaoru frowned before heaving a sigh, 'Mou, it's another one of those romantic dreams about me and Kenshin – But this time it felt so real just like the time when I was in the school's hospital and Kenshin kept me company...Maybe it is real – Kaoru no baka, like that would ever happen I mean why would he ever wanna fall for a clumsy and bad-tempered girl like me.......'
She stared at him lovingly, 'Oh How I wish that I could kiss him...*sigh* Like that would ever happen.....But I just wanna......maybe just this once...' She then pressed a light kiss onto his lips and of course, Kenshin was quite shocked himself. He then returned the kiss and they kissed as if there was no tomorrow.
"Aw...isn't that romantic?" Commented Misao and Megumi who were spying on them through one of their spy cameras along with Yahiko, the rooster, and the icicle along with his gang. Yahiko smirked, "Now busu's got a boyfriend....I can tease her all day hee hee..." Everyone then glares at him, "On second thought, I'll give them some timeto each other." "Quiet everyone, they're gonna say something to each other," hissed Misao and the other then leaned in closer to the television.
Right after the kiss, both the two stubborn lovebirds stared into each other's orbs; Amethyst and Sapphire. Kaoru turned away and blushed, 'Oh great, look at what you've done Kaoru...But he did respond to the kiss right?' "Kaoru...why did you kiss me?" Asked a confused Kenshin. Kaoru stayed silent, "Look at me Kaoru, just tell me the reason why?"
Kaoru turned around but didn't look into his beautiful orbs, "I did it cos I couldn't fight the urge to b-because....." She paused for a while and she turned even redder. From the video camera, all of them were hissing, "Say it! Say it!" And of course Yahiko went, "Busu, this is your chance! I don't wanna be hassled by you like right now!!! I want you to go on loads of dates so that I can mess up the house!"
Sano glared at him, "What did you say?" "You heard what I said, rooster head," replied Yahiko with an evil grin. The two of them then bickered with the others sweat dropping. Megumi heaved a sigh, "This is gonna be a long day." Misao nodded before focusing on the romantic scene.
Kaoru continued to stutter, "I did it cos...cos...I have strong feelings for you...I don't know if it's love but it sure does feel like it..." She then turned her face away from him. Kenshin smiled at her, "Really Kaoru? I also have strong feelings for you too....Even I dunno if it's love, but it sure feels like it..." Kaoru turned around to face him with her red face, "Y-you also feel the same way?" Kenshin nodded before placing a kiss on her cheek.
"I've thought of you ever since I first set my eyes on you 4 years ago in the Sakura train station, koishii," said Kenshin who was smiling. Kaoru returned the smile, "Same here, I've been thinking of you for 4 whole years Kenshin...ever since that day." And they kissed lightly on the lips right after exchanging words.....
As for their friends, well they were overjoyed with Misao and Megumi crying for joy and it would be super hard to believe that the icicle and the rooster were actually talking instead of bickering!!!! They all celebrated until Kenshin and Kaoru told them the news later that day in the Akabeko....
